African American and Latino men and women are more likely to be infected with HIV and more likely to die early from AIDS than Whites. For the first time ever, the White House recently released a national strategy on HIV/AIDS in the U.S., which calls to reduce these disparities and others that affect gay and bisexual men, as well as decreasing new HIV infections and connecting more people to care sooner after they test positive.
