Anthropologist Carlos Velez-Ibanez details the influence that Mexican communities have had in the Southwest. Based in his new book "Border Visions", Mr. Velez claims that the "cultural glue" is constantly replenished by strengthening family ties that reach across both sides of the U.S. -Mexico border.
