why the move to rain city here because it's so wet and I love it when it's wet. No actually it's really nice of here I really love it. I've looked all over the country for a place to go and seems like there's a lot of interest in music and art and stuff like that here. You're in the in the indoors most the time anyway when you're doing that shit so I mean so it's ok. I like it appear. Well I think I like it too so I'll stick around I want to talk a little bit speaking of California about the next song Texas women California close. You tell me a little bit about this. Yeah this is a good buddy of mine in California is named Kenny Williams he's a demon of a guitar player and songwriter and singer and just. In general. And it's just about seeing girls from California. Let's hear it live then.

bag. The boy. Or girl. It was. A real. Good. Way. Of thinking. Just. As much. As the. Long. Ride. A. Long. Long. Long. Long. Thank. You
my fave. You're listening to live rumah Greg Fergal production on K CMU we're broadcasting from Jack Straw studios in Seattle's U district and he tweek live room present's live performances a phenomenal variety and we want to get in a thanks to Zobrist music and electronics for the studio monitor support. We're talking a little bit about the relocation of the band and I understand now Steve you're into Coleman actually a very lovely Park the home of Don's rust and market rust in Tacoma the area of the stack. So tell me about the Tacoma shuffle and what it's like being out there. Well I really don't know what Tacoma is like I read about it a lot on the second page of the TNT. But
Ron Dunn's Reston market they make the best roast beast sandwich in lime phosphate in my neighborhood. Now there's been some club changes going around in Tacoma and I've wondered if you've been involved in that at all. Yes as a matter of fact we were playing we were supposed to play. It was our big breakthrough gig in Tacoma at proceed. And I went down to see the Curtis elgato at the free gig outside and as I was sitting there absorbing Curtis's funk somebody came over and told me I guess you didn't know you're not playing this weekend because procedurals got shut down by a court order man. So of finally they did open the victory club just down the street away so there is a place to play eventually. But I'm wondering in another question how you got started with blues or rhythm and blues and and what were some of the first blues you heard. Well the first time I got turned on to blues I was listening to serve Dick
Dale in the Del tones on a 45 in a music store with headphones on and all of a sudden my headphones got ripped off in my head at the same time that the record got ripped off the turntable and thrown up against a wall. And this friend of mine who is a manager of the store goes if you're going to be stupid enough to play guitar and wreck your life you might as well know what's really happening and put on Freddie King. And that's how it started. That's a good one. I want to get over here to Billy on the drums and talk a little bit about the singing drummer a lot of people are amazed at times that that people can play the guitar and sing at the same time and don't even think about drummers who can sing and tell me a little bit about how you moved into the singing role or how you moved in the drumming role either way. Well this clown doesn't help much. You have to learn to laugh at the same time. My wife Nancy had a lot to do with it I had to learn how to wait can chew gum at the same time.
We're just happy to have you to be friends. Smiling a lot. Playing music we're happy. The singing and talking ramblin drummer. Now also wondering as far as radio support goes and. And there's like four different four five I think different radio stations in town that have blue shows and I'm wondering if the explosion of blues is a scene in Seattle has as helped or hindered your playing around here or XXX exposure as far as getting big and huge and famous and rich. Well I think the possibilities of that are better here than any place I've ever seen. I hope I didn't. But it's nice to be someplace where the where the people appreciate music and really take it seriously.
Just like with stuff like that. Like I mean I. Oh. I want. Mommy.
Mommy. For you. Baby blue on. Blue dog. Barney. Would truly known to both. The baby you most. Respect me for. Oh. Oh oh oh. Oh oh oh. How long. More. Hours.
Babe. The book. Was borrowed.
My read is the book I wrote it down the track. Long. Long. Long long. Long. Long. Long. Why. Oh. Thanks. Oh me. Oh oh oh. Oh oh oh oh.
Oh. Oh. Nuke. Us. Love that dog. I love. Fall in love.
Song as. Long. As it. Does. My. Soul. Mating. Promise me. The book.
AS. Follows we. See Zola. Says All right.
Zonk. Says Oh my. Oh my. Result. Steve Cooley band on K CM use live room Steve teaching his guitar over there who is boss. I get a couple more questions in here and let you guys play us on out. I understand you did record a tape over at the music source. Yeah we did it the Blues Society helped us do a tape. Just to try to get some gigs around here it was live to dat. So we couldn't do any background harmonies because unless you had one of those callers like they put on Dobermans when they did. But yeah we did a tape.
I can't wait to hear what this one sounds like this is pretty neat here but it won't be available to the public so you'll just have to catch him live in the next live date November the 11th. Yeah at the salmon Bay Eagles and Ballard and also available to be seen every Monday night at the BO's tavern down in Ruston. It's in the affordable area of Tacoma Washington every Thursday every third Thursday of every month. The public house in Port Townsend. More music let's get out of here. You'll. Get the.
