American Graduate; Big Brothers/Big Sisters

The program is a lot more rewarding than I thought. It would be. Oh, here's another one. Oh, this is just a regular mix. That one's all the boring. You should make wedding cakes. What? Are you going to marry? No. I can't imagine I'll just be committed to her until, you know, she graduates and then beyond that. So I came from Wisconsin about three years ago and I was met pretty quickly after that with Amarisa and we just had a lot more in common. She is really into art and cooking and food and kind of the same stuff. Oh, shoot. And the school is not going that good for me. It's hard to concentrate in school.
One fourth of a cup, I found it. You go to four teams, so one, two, three, four. It's like everybody's talking and there's constantly something going on around you and one fourth of a cup of butter. Do you want to grab that from there? I don't know how much it is. My teacher still doesn't like really paying much attention to me even though he's only seven students. I'm trying to know this. The only reason why I go to school is because of my friends or my mom would be really mad if I didn't go to school. I want to tell them what it is. It's check, mix with chocolate and peanut butter and powdered sugar and butter. It's, I mean, it's obviously discouraging to hear that, you know, she is not loving school. Perfect. It's really good for you. I don't think so, it's not. Elementary school, you really liked and she, you know, she had a tight knit group and it was good group of, good group of teachers, good group of friends. And middle school is just kind of like one of those times in life that's kind of hard,
you know, you're trying to find a direction. And we've talked about that, you know, that it'll be nice when she can, when she can get to high school and kind of get focused on things that she really enjoys doing. So okay, so we just put this in the bowl, microwave run high and stir, microwave 30 seconds longer and stir to a great cook and she's got it art. So she has some specific things that she's interested in, it'll just be nice to have her kind of use her math and use science and use the other subjects to help improve upon the subjects that she really does like. So we're pouring the chocolate now. My favorite thing is after school stuff. The nice thing about the time that we spend together is it's most the time one on one time. I like seeing her, she's taught me a lot of things. You know, it's the two of us and we have to solve the problem together as opposed to
it being a whole classroom of kids. She gives me like good advice, helps me get my confidence up, like if I tell her that I have a good D and math or something, then she'll like, oh you can get that back up a bit more, she'll find like a way for me to think I can do it. Ready? Math is essential to cooking, you know, if you don't know how to do math, you're not going to come up with something very good. I think a lot of maybe my role would be to incorporate those lessons from things that she should be learning in the classroom into something that's a little bit more fun in a different setting. As men hold the clock and then shake it, especially for somebody in middle school. Even if you don't understand that you're learning or you don't think about it as that, if you're doing activities that allow you to learn and I think that those things are really beneficial to the kid and she'll look back and say, oh yeah, I learned how to do that or I used math when we were doing that together.
You got to let it kind of cool off a little, oh it's a lot of sugar, oh that's weird. Well, there'll be a time where she will really enjoy going to school, I mean I'd love for that. Alright, so which relationship between units of time is correct? One day is one-twelfth of the year, okay. The reason I do it is just, I mean I want to be there for her, it's important to have role models in life, I've had role models since I was a little kid and that really helped me develop my career skills and develop, you know, just as a person. Okay, so then she needs five cups of water. It's not an easy road, so it's nice to have people in your life that are there to support news. So, we have the six cups from the lemon juice. Kelly, we need cups from the water. It's a lot to me. So when we add them together, we're a little team and it's just nice to have somebody
that hangs out with me and I can hang out with her and we can help each other learn a little bit more. Whenever I'm around her, I feel like happy and energetic and enthusiastic and she's really important to me. This program is part of American Graduate, let's make it happen.
