Have you done one that's just them fairly tight? Like that. Yeah, that's great. Okay, in this time, you guys are doing great, but maybe at the end of it, everybody's low, but woof, woof, woof, woof. Little bit nutty. Come on.
Come on. You want to be up there? I can go down and set my hands, so. Right, everybody, everybody, everybody, ready? Are you ready? And where your low will read on Fridays because... Every morning, low, so low, so low, so low, so low, so low, woof, woof. I broke my phone on that one. I'm getting excited. Okay? Yup. Another one? One more time. You got anything good? You good? Excellent. All right. Now, I know some of you probably have to warm up. But if you have a little time, you'd like to get to individual questions. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Whatever. You trying to like to pick up a... Should you get closer? Yeah. Look at it. You want it to be pointing right at his mouth, okay? Right here. Is that good? Yup. Rolling. Okay. And you can look into the camp. Okay. Now, go ahead and look at me. Okay. You're talking to me. And you're telling me. I'm a new employee. What is it about the UNM benefits? And what are some of the auxiliary benefits that you as a UNM employee get to use? Well, I've taken advantage of all of the... I like to go to the sporting events, for example. I go to the basketball games, football games. I enjoy going to tennis. The other things I do is I ride the train every day from Santa Fe. And so I take advantage of the UNM transportation back and forth to the railrunner. And that's free, so that's really great. How much do you think you save in doing that?
Oh, I'm probably saving in gas probably $300 a month, something like that. It's really beneficial to me. Do you use any of the other facilities? Do you use Johnson Jam or go to Pope Joy events, anything like that? I do go to Pope Joy events occasionally, so I take advantage of the ticket discounts there. I haven't actually taken advantage of Johnson Jam just yet. Hopefully I move to Albuquerque. So these days I'll be able to start taking more advantage of the facilities more on campus. Did we get ahead of that? Yeah. That's great. All right. Great. You know, hold on one second. You're still rolling? Yeah. Just for reference for me so we can get your name right. Could you say, spell your name, and then give me your title? Sure. My name is Michael Durand, M-I-C-H-A-E-L, D-U-R-A, and I'm a finance officer for the HR department. Great. I appreciate your time. How do I use it? Yeah. What is it? What are some of the ancillary benefits at UNM that you use after the visit? Johnson Jam is great because there's a weight room there.
We have yoga classes, a lot of these classes. They have the recreation program that you can take advantage of. They involve cycling classes, just all kinds of great exercise and relaxation type stuff. It was art for health classes. Of course there's the weight room that's there, and then also here at the center. How often do you do this? On a daily basis. At least take a 20-minute lunch and walk over and do your thing, and then get back to work, and you're re-energized and refocused. Games, pop joy events, anything like that? That's right. Anything else you can think of? Well, walking around campus. You know, I get my steps in. We've got our little pedometers, and so it's easy and very easy to get your 10,000 steps in there through each day. Excellent. Very good. All right. Let's do a little pickup on that. Oh, okay. Hold on. Hold on one second. Let him remember our takes time. Let me know when you're ready.
Good. It's the road to wellness for no matter. Okay. Tell him to start again and just explain to put a pedometer thing fully. Oh, well, we've been trying to get 10,000 steps in a day, and it's very easy to do that around campus. And so, you know, I get those steps in using the road to wellness. Great. Now, can you give me your name and spell it and your title please? Mary Jo Kintana, M-A-R-Y, J-O, last name, K-E-I-N-T-A-N-A, and my title is Senior Program Manager for Employment Health and Promotion Services. Okay. And is there a hyphen between Mary Jo and their two separate? Two separate. Two separate. Okay. Great. Thank you very much. Very good. Ready. Okay. So, tell me about the, hope joy benefits that you use. Oh, hope joy is great. You have the opportunity to have discounted tickets. We sign up for subscription once a year. They've just recently instituted meetings with subscription specialists that can help you customize your subscription to meet your interests. They have all kinds of things like different dance shows and music.
Off-Broadway plays and Broadway plays. And, uh, things like... I'm playing. I'm playing. I'm playing. I'm playing. Okay. You got to get up. Up here. Okay. Sorry. Apologize. That's okay. I'm sure that's okay. Okay. So, we got it back up. Okay. So, uh, let me know when you're ready. Ready. Let's go through that whole more time. Again, the benefits you use to hope joy. Well, hope joy is really great because they have all kinds of offerings, um, plays, dances, music, different types of things like that. Our subscription benefits are things that we can go to go to offerings that we'd never be able to go to before with the discounts. There are meetings with subscription specialists so that they can help customize your subscriptions to meet your interests and just all kinds of opportunities. So, what are some of the specific events that really come to mind? What really wowed you?
Um, they had, uh, Sleeping Beauty a couple years ago. Uh-huh. This year they have Chitty Bang Bang and different types of Broadway, Mama Mia. So, some really great plays and different cultural events they've had. Some of the East, East Indian, Eastern type cultures and events like that is very interesting. Yeah. Museums? Anything like that come to mind? Oh, yeah. There are all kinds of museums and just the libraries that the, um, access to all kinds of diverse information and activities. It's great. Have you ever taken any classes through you and ever continuing yet? Yes. I actually did a lot of my undergraduate and master's degree in classes here at UNM and I was taking also a lot of continuing classes. Things like, um... That's right, taking time.
Yeah. We had this stuff. Okay, good. We'll cut out all the owns and all that. Oh, yeah. Because I have my mind left. That's right. Oh. Middle Eastern cooking. Spanish tapas. Having tapas. Different cooking classes. All kinds of fun things. Great. Great. All right. Well, thank you very much. And again, you give us your name and spell it in your title, please. My name is Leah Betcher and it's L-A-H-A-O-E-T-G-G-E-R. I'm a senior human resource development consultant with, um, employee and organizational development, a division of human resources. Fantastic. Well, thank you very much. Thanks for your time. Thank you. And thanks for the, yeah. Real enthusiasm we'll give you as well, Bobo Paul. Rolling. Okay, so, Joel, tell me what are the benefits that UNM that you take part in? One of the main benefits that I take advantage of are the wonderful sports programs. I'm a football and basketball fan, so I go to all the games and cheer for the Lobos. I take advantage of a lot of the various trainings that they have for leadership development
and management development. We have free programs here that any leader can take advantage of. We have a lot of professional development classes that employees can take advantage of and they're all over at the Business Center. So those are probably the two benefits that I really use the most. And what kind of classes did you have you taken? Some of the management classes they have, they have everything from performance management to conflict resolution to diversity, how to communicate more effectively with your staff. So there's just a wide range of various courses that you can take. Have you ever done anything for continuing it? I have not. I have not done anything to continuing it. However, I think that we do partner with continuing it on some of our English for a second as a second. Wait, I got to see this. No problem. We do partner with continuing it. Sorry. Could you do that again? Okay, so again, tell me a little bit more about continuing it in our partnership. I know that we have a partnership with continuing education on our ESL program, which is our English proficiency programs that we use for our employees
and helping them to just develop better English skills. And so that's been a really successful program here at the University. Okay. Any other benefits you can think of that you've used even once? I really like the facilities being able to come to work. And if I want to, at lunchtime, go take a walk. There's a beautiful campus here. And so you can take a walk. You can exercise. It's very soothing. Very stress reduction. You know, a bit official and everything. So it's a really beautiful campus. So I would say to take advantage of all the wonderful, just the beautiful landscaping that we have here. And just take a nice calm walk sometimes. Can you give me your name, spell it in your title case? Jewel Washington, J-E-W-E-L-W-A-S-H-I-N-G-T-O-N. And I'm the Director of Employee and Organizational Development. Perfect. Alright, Jewel, thank you so much. Alright. Thanks for getting us over here. The ballrooms are in here. You can tell me you can point. Okay. Okay. Here, and then I'll walk up and on.
That's what's in the back. Thank you very much. Hi. Can you tell me how to find the ballrooms? The ballrooms are under some work. Alright. Thank you very much. Okay. Can we do the whole thing one more time? Yep. He's going to get a different shot. See you thing. Thanks. You can go there.
I don't know about that. Okay, stand by, I'm done. Ready. Thank you very much. Hi. Can you tell me how to find the ballrooms? Okay. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Okay. Thank you very much. I think we can fix the phone up again. Can we do that?
Power? Yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. Hey, put it upside down.
