Program opens with rousing address from NYPD Commissioner Steve Canaday on the evils of narcotics. The listener is then given a vivid description of what drug addiction will do to the body by a member of the NYPD Narcotics bureau. Topics include: Drug jargon and the question, "Why do people fall'"; the role of personality; economic factors in addiction and the economics of drug sales; abuse of prescription drugs, narcotic trafficking and organized crime; international factors; the role of the FBI.
