In this episode, Svejda's in-depth analysis of different approaches to 'The Firebird' explores the question of whether or not the composer has the 'last word' on their music and thus the impact of interpretation. Conductors of 'The Firebird' shared include Stravinsky himself, Pierre Boulez, Christoph von Dohnanyi, Ernest Anserment, Colin Davis, Bernard Haitink, and Seiji Ozawa.
