Description
Description
The exile of the Jews in Babylonia ends, and they return to their homeland, only to be challenged by the growing domination of Greek culture. In a successful rebellion against their Greek overlords, the people of Judah win the right to worship as they choose. Soon Roman forces take control of Judah, bringing prosperity and misrule. A massive uprising in the year 66 brings crushing defeat as Roman legions destroy the temple and devastate Jerusalem.
