You You You You
You Was to give you all a historical
perspective or an idea about how people would have lived. That way when you read, whether we read it aloud or you read it by yourself, you'll have some idea of what it would have been like to have lived in 1899. In the time when the elephant man was around, Jack the Ripper, you would have had a totally different kind of life. And lifestyle from what you had now, some of you would be away at a boarding school. If you were an adult, your life would be very, very different from what your parents' lives are like now. So try to get in the feel of that, what we saw and what we talked about yesterday. And also try to think what you would have been like as you are reading your parts. After we get through with the first scene, we'll change. Preston, would you like to start out and read the stage instructions? Take a look at the
room again. And get an idea in your mind of what it would have been like to make sure of our home. The power of 21B Baker Street, gorgeous play, whose entire action takes place here. A curtain at the back of the stage must be capable of being drawn beside to reveal and remove all clothes. Backed by a window with lines drawn. Seated beside this window and profiled two ins. And to the audience is a dummy, rippery sitting, Sherlock Holmes. It is wearing an old dressing gown and sits in a large high back chair. If the window is blind, we're not down. It would appear to
a cup of cups of the house opposite that home, so itself is seated. When the play begins, the chair, and yes, occupant are conceited from the audience by the alcohol. Okay, who knows what? The big curtain. I think that's what it is. It's a room. It's a smaller room off of another room. It could be just room enough maybe catching people to sit in. It probably wouldn't have a door. Okay. Preston, go ahead. Two doorways are necessary. One for characters arriving into partying. And one moving off into home bedrooms. Bedroom door has the course of the action. The view of the off stage route is necessary between the bedroom
and the alcohol. The lamp is lit. A parcel stands against. A chair billy. The page boy is holding up. Orbs are brushing it vigorously. There is a tap at the part of the door. It opens in what seems head appears round. Do we shut up and read our phones? No. Just read it from your seat. Okay. Dr. Watson, sir. Minster. What's in it? Well, it is closing the door. Well, we're going to keep in the mosque that day. That's it, sir. Much billy. Not much, sir. You don't change either. I hope the same can be said of him. I think he's a bad asleep. That's seven o 'clock. A lovely summer's evening. He hasn't changed them. I suppose it means
a case. Yes, that is very hard. And it's just now. Fair presence. What does? Dr. Watson. And he gets paler and thinner and he never eats it. Nothing. I heard Mrs. Hudson acting him when he would take his dinner. 730, he told her that the after tomorrow. Yes, Billy. I know how it is. I can tell you one thing, sir. He's following somebody. What's in a meeting with coffee students there? What is it all about? I don't mind telling you, sir. But it shouldn't go no further. What's in gives his head a meaningful
shake in places that you think are introduced to this? It's the case of the countdown. What's in gives his head a meaningful shake in places that you think are introduced to? Yes, sir. They might get it back. Why? We've had the Prime Minister and Home Secretary. Both of that in this very room. You don't see it. Mr. Home was very nice to them. I promise he would do all he could. Then his Lord helped him to more. He was really old. You know what that means? Dr. Watson. He's a stiff and no mistake. Now I can get along with the Prime Minister. And I've got nothing against the Home Secretary. But I can't. Mr. Home always knows what there is, you know. Absolutely. Oh, quite, quite well. Really? You'll just hope that you won't go. And then you won't be able to handle this. Well, people found it, but I
better be getting home. You know what? He moved forward since hand and stick, but kept his sight on the curtain. I say, Billy, be it dirty to have the curtains drawn in the lamp. Let him dip. Well, there's something funny behind there. Something funny? You can see it. Billy draws the curtain really, really dirty. Yes, my son? Yes, sir. Examining the figure. The purpose of the call for Sherlock Holmes, dressed in gold, gold in terms of the chairs, so that he don't make changes. Chances to finish up within about the horrible. We put it at different angles every now and then. Like this. Billy will look like more like mine. I wouldn't dare touch it if the blind wasn't drawn. When it's up, you can see
this from the right, across the floor. There's both in wash. You can watch us from over -yielders there. You may catch a peep of them now. Billy Watson's been around. Wait, no. It's Holmes. What's in it? It's Holmes. That'll reduce your loss. Billy Watson's been around. Holmes. You are a danger of your life standing, my boy. I can't do without you just yet. Probably. Yes, sir. That will be all for now. Very good, sir. You're accepted by the particles. That boy is a problem, Watson. How far am I
justified in letting him be in danger? Danger? Of what Holmes? Of sudden death. Holmes? But it's good to see you and your old quarters once again do what my dear Watson. Conserve. Holmes. This walk talk of sudden death. What are you thinking? To be murdered. Open up. Open up. You're joking. Even my limit senses of humor could involve a better joke than that, Watson. But we may be comfortable in the meantime. Wait. Let me see once more in the customary chair. I am in pain. Watson. The rest of me is a mere appendix. Therefore, it's the brain I must consider. But the stinger. Yes.
Just in case it should come us. It would be as well for you to know the name of the murderer. You can give it to Scotland. With my love and heart and blessing. Holmes. His name is Sirius. It's not the murderer. Got it? Yes. The box is not a bad box. But it can't be used in this case. Just a great big story. Four heads. Good. Good. But he's flopping about in my midst. Obviously. Where? Here comes over snow. I've been in the armor armor. He's seen a ninja gun. Oye. I'm feeling older. The strings. The strings.
The max. Small bits. And crane broad holes. I'm lidd. I'm your more convincedだから. Yeah. What's the last one that's almost straightened up? No, no, no, no. He actually picked up my purse for me once. All he's got is his card. Oh, man. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. You're wrong. You're wrong. You're wrong. Oh.
Yeah, I was right here. I was right. That's the best. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. I can't do this. Or I can go through. Or I'm gonna go through, or I'm gonna go through, or I'm gonna go through. or I'm gonna go through, or I'm gonna go through. Why do I go through. I just want to start with you. Thank you. It was
pretty strong. No! It was pretty strong. I don't need to be yelling.
Hi! Hi! I'll be! Hi! It was pretty strong. Hi! You did it! Come on! Blade! Candy camera! I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't
hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I can't hear you, I And it's very hard to convey the enormity of the problem to people who foul their own bodies with nicotine and alcohol and drugs. And so first, I think a person has to respect themselves. So I try to teach my children to respect their own body as a temple. And then they can maybe help other people. And then other people might be able to help the earth someday. But first, I think, has to be an inner awareness. And I think that through education, through the media, I think that we're more educated and aware of people now than we've ever been.
So we have great opportunities if we'll just take them. I was going to also ask you to start backing up for a moment. But do you still get angry when you think about what happened? Back in Utah at the time, and just the idea of waiting for the winds to shift. So your side can get it, and your side doesn't. When you just think about it, what's your emotional response? Well, when I think about what happened to the people in St. George, I feel sad. I'm not angry. I'm not resentful. And I don't think a lot of those people are either. One lady I met had lost three people in her family. And there was up to 10 people in a block that had died of various leukemia and cats related diseases. And these are people that never had this kind of thing before. But personally, I'm not angry. I'm not resentful. Because
I know that they didn't get me the first time around, but they could, the second, just by my negative emotions about it. So I have to release any bad feelings I might have about it, and try to use the experience to help other people, and to help myself. See what is true. Your own personal view, right? Now you mentioned last night, and I wanted to, the other day, two leaders, two world leaders, the INF Treaty, and just from your own viewpoint. Is that a major step in your eyes, or what did it represent to you? Well, I think that the INF Treaty that Gorbachev and President Reagan signed was a wonderful thing, a wonderful first step. It's miles and miles to go before we sleep. And I think that
whatever can be done by the leaders of the country to reducing nuclear armaments is wonderful. I only hope that the euphoria carries through the basic disagreements that are inherent in Soviet versus American policy. But I'm hopeful. You're a, how far away I am, it's like a...
