I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say, I don't know what to say It's a thrill being able to help people on an occasion kind of a rare occasion, but, you do get to save some people One of the things I think that, it's overrated, everybody thinks that we can run out, we do is save lives and stuff You get to occasionally, but it just happens pretty rarely On the most part, you just kind of help people. There's too much of a future.
I can't get no relief. Is this man there to treat my wife? Come and take my hand. Learn the level of the mind. Nobody else is worth it. We had a call about three or four weeks ago. Where a student fell off about to be in an apartment complex because he was drunk and died because of head trauma. And I'm not saying that if he wasn't drunk, he would have been able to be saved. And if he would have, he still would have been a vegetable. People don't... You can't make conscious decisions about what you do. It's when you're a bad drunk. He was high and there are kids everywhere. I had no way to get an airway on this guy. He wasn't breathing well. And so what I basically have to do is I take a scalpel. And I
cut into their neck and the crack of thyroid and membrane, which is right below your Adam's apple. And I make an incision vertically through the end of the skin. And then a horizontal incision into the neck or the trapezoid. And then I place the tube into it so that I can breathe in the patient. And those are always kind of... It's one of those procedures that is just kind of hair raising whenever you have to take a scalpel to somebody's neck. I remember one call in specific. One of the real bad calls I had. You know, when we were there, nothing was bothering me. And I was just there and taking care of the patients that I need to be taking care of. And after the call, I kind of started relaxing and realizing what had happened and what I'd seen. And that one was one of the ones that really bothered me. And I noticed for about a week or two weeks afterwards, my right eye just kept twitching subconsciously. I had no idea. But I'm attributing it to that and kind of stressed out. Because once I finally started forgetting about the call, because I was thinking about it constantly for about two weeks.
And like I was saying all the time, my eye would just be awakened. My eye would kind of just like blink. Well, that's kind of an area to go into. It was a car accident in a shop where our little kid died on a mother's date. And it was real bad because the scene wasn't real secure. And I couldn't get in right away. And we had a bunch of other really injured patients. And it was like a toss up between, you know, which one should I be taking care of and kind of what happened with that call. It's still up here. And my waist has got to be on tape in this shit.
I'm not here. Can you see if I want you to? And I'll take this out of here. And my hand is sticking to the toe before my neck out. It's a ranzo. It's a ranzo. And we don't make more of a cut. You can get it more important. I'll get it about my neck out. Thank you very much. This is a person that gave a call home. Don't you do it too. Motherfuckers, why can't you guys ever, ever fucking scared of people that they're businessmen? Who called? I don't think that I intentionally do anything to try to distance myself. I know we use sense of humor a lot. And sometimes you sit there and you think about something you allow. That really sucks. Poor guy.
I'm glad that's not me. I feel like I feel bad for him. And we kind of make jokes about it because we see stuff like that constantly. And that's one of the ways I know that a lot of crews distance themselves. But me specifically, I don't know exactly what I do. I'm sure there is some things that I do to kind of distance myself away from them. Keep away. But for the most part, I think I've just been blessed with a shitty memory. I hear a voice
from the back of the room. I was telling you I was reading that book. And I was thinking I could never write a book about my career, because I can't remember any of the things or any of the calls that I've been on. But then somebody says something or you see something and it reminds you of it. And you say, oh, I remember that. And we've all got great stories we can tell. But for me, you know, people ask me like, what's the grossest thing you've ever seen? I can't remember. Is it better than when we're here? Yeah, I was on the bathroom around here. Приlee had a seizure in the bathtub. You always look over. Mr. Buries, we're going to pert your finger to get a blood sample for your glucose level, okay? See if you're able to find the answer anything. I want to be a part of the world
with you. It makes me feel like I'm home again. Never alone with you. And you're in a very uncontrolled environment. A lot of times you're in the dark, you're in the dirt, you're on the side of the road, you're inside of the vehicle. It's just a very uncontrolled environment. You still have to be able to practice good medicine. You're in the dirt, you're in the dirt, you're in the dirt, you're in the dirt, you're in the dirt, you're in the dirt, you're in the dirt, you're in the dirt, you're in the dirt, you're in the dirt.

That's the same when you've got it Is it always put right there? Well, mine is up higher than most people's There's usually around the chest or the heart level Why is yours not higher? I don't know, it's just a style of the physician And they didn't cut
so far, and they didn't cut me in the chest, they cut me on the side That looks like your scar on your neck is going to be smaller than Israel's His hair is kind of long, it's straight up to that end That's not going to see a scar It's just abandoned And it's about the same size as the other cut He went in down here and... Well, he went right here Oh, okay I just stepped it all in here Wow Okay, everybody push, push That's good, that thing Wow, so you've done the surgery done a few days ago? On the 16th The 16th Yes Two days Correct You're walking around, you're feeling good Acceptable Do you feel any pain at all in your chest when they implanted on your neck? Just possibly when I move my arm in an awkward position Only this... What the stages are? Right, I don't have any pain in my neck
I at first had problems speaking because the stimulator was affecting my voice I guess a few hiccups cured my problem Yes Wow Do you know, was your epilepsy to the point where you've seen a noticeable change yet? I have not had any seizures since they implanted No seizures Since they implanted But you have the... The magnet? Right here I went ahead and touched it to my arm Oh yeah, so now you just go like that Yeah What happens if you do that now? It will activate it for 60 seconds What would that do to you? Nothing Oh, good Because I was thinking what if you accidentally do
it? Because it goes off every five minutes for 30 seconds anyway Automatically? Oh, okay Do you have to come in and have it adjusted? I was just saying something about how often will you have to come in to have... I will have... I'll probably have to come in here once a week for time period While it gets adjusted and the medication being balanced as well Oh, okay Because I'm taking 24 pills right now for seizure control And then eventually will that lessen also? Yeah, yeah, should reduce the volume of medication I don't know You're still on meds, too? Yes, sir It's a balance Same dosage is when I went in the hospital I asked Dr. Woodie the same question And you're a good guy to ask the same question, too Because this whole biotechnology medical stuff and little machines It's
so science -fiction like it Wait, can I have you? You
