The following recording was made in the roo- room of Arthur Ford the world famous medium at the [Unintelligible] Bruce Hotel 58th street and 6th avenue, New Yo- New York City, Wednesday afternoon March uh Uhh, November the 14th,1962. The re- the recording was made in the presence of John Purdia and Gil Baker Fletcher the discarnate uses the vocal cords of Arthur Arthur Ford and bringing messages from the spirit world. And when I look at you people, I don't see just the person, I see the aura, and the aura tells me gr- greatly more about you maybe than you can tell me yourself you know. Yes. Yes but he isn't that way now because you know what, Saint Paul says Is a body. You have a physical body and a spiritual bo- body and the two are not the same. And when you get rid of the physical body you get rid of all the um the spiritual body is,. does not take on the imperfect Imperfections or the aging you understand. Yes. They show me themselves or they tell me about themselves like you remember them. But when I look at them apart from the mental projection or the memory fl-

flash back that they give me me. They all look young and perfect and well your grandfather that's who he is. That's right. And he doesn't look any older than this man's boy and they both look just like young men you know. And we all can hear you just the same way because you bring none of the mar- Marks of uh age or disease or [Unintelligible] Both belong to the physical body and when the spirit and when the spirit is ready to come, it gets rid of that, but there's al- This old man whoever he is, is very kindly, he's very vain of course. I guess he lives in a time when everyone When everybody wore beards. But uh, he said at one time he had a very strange way of cutting of cutting his beard. I don't know what he means by that. It was rather um clo-

close. Wasn't a long flowing beard you know what I mean. Hm-um. More like a s- like a square thing,I don't know if it's [unintelligible] that's only a memory picture because you remember him I think he was clean shaven wasn't he?. That's right. And he says that he was very happy to get rid of that, but uh I I guess I uh, you must be your You must be your father's father. That's right Your father's still on this earth plane I guess, Yes, and sends his greetings to him and this [unintelligible] Peggy or Betty here too. Yea that's my daughter Betty Betty. Yea. And she's very happy to greet you and uh, very pleas- Pleased and very happy about Jack the 3rd. I don't know who that is. Well it's another Jack on the Earth plane

Yea that's her That's her son. Yea, he's turned out to be a very fine young man hasn't he? That's right. And she's very grateful to you because you've been able to do a lot for him, but somehow she wishes to see more of him of him. Well, from now on we'll try to see more of him. He needs you. He has a step father I guess. Step mother. Step mother an- anyway Anyway, she's a good woman Betty, Peggy says. Betty says. And there's been a tremendous amount of healing power directed at you lat-

lately and when you sit in meditation you make a perfect target for the power and the stream of healing force that is directed at you and uh you're going to be in ro- for a long time because whatever it is you are doing you are are in better health than you have been in a long time. That's true. And she says that there's power directed at you all the time. You don't create the healing power over here [Unintelligible] It's the power of God call the Holy Spirit but we can direc- directed consciously at any person and she says that that's the way, This, Wait a minute there's a man here named uh

Um Arthur [unintelligible]...Arthur Harris or The hairy man or the hairyman [unintelligible] He says I knew your father. This man says he was a preacher of some kind. Does your father know some preacher. Yes he knows plenty of them, he knows lots of them. Well- well anyway this man says he was a preacher and that he was the president of um, some ministerial organization at [unitelligible] or that belong to. Give him my greetings will you. I will me. Uh (Sighing) From there I got the impression what he said that he passed away away in the Bronx. Some kind of, it wasn't a hospital, but a must be some kind of a place,or a retirement place or home for preachers in the Bronx.. Could of been the old uh home for the ages, the Baptist home for the ages. That's it. On Riverdale Avenue (Phone Rings) Tell them to call back in an hour

ideologically that she had came over and she had gone to sleep until the resurrection day day, but to her acknowledgment she hasn't slept alon- alone. She um the Resurrection day is May always confuse [Unintelligible].And he said the resurrection is the releasing of the spiritual body, do you understand? Yes We have the same kind of [Unintelligible] Body that Jesus had after his resurrection. He was able to slow down his body so that it became visible to his friends And yet he didn't completely slow it down Vibration. Because only the people that he that he wanted to see him saw him, the others could be in the same place and couldn't see him, don't you see

don't you see. Yes. And that's the way it is with us. When there is someone who is really really spiritually develop- developed to the point that they can see us and they can if it isn't so much that we slow down, it's so much that they raise themselves, they lift themselves up a little higher to dimension. This woman said I didn't sleep and I don't remember anything about dying. I was perfectly conscious and wide awake. And nothing had happened to me. I wasn't in hell hell and I wasn't in heaven and I never for an instant been in that whole whole in the ground. And she says uh. Does she say where she dies. The name sounds like Hoopla or Hoople or Hupele Hoopla. The place is either

Either a place or a name I don't know what it is something about Hoopla As long as talking as what I'm saying it replies it to everyone. No matter how they come over they are or unless they come over in some sudden unexpected tragedy or accident or a violent matter when it's not expected then sometimes they're they're carefully put into er uh not exactly a rest home but what we call a transition home or a uh in which they are gradually uh brought around to realization of whats happened, but when people die after an illness they're generally expecting to die and they are old and know they are going to come over. Now this young fellow

Jack, he he had to rest a little while because he came over completely unexpectedly and he didn't know what had happened to him don't you see. Yes. And uh I don't know maybe in a war or something he was torpedo or [unintelligible] something to do with the ship or something, but erm it wasn't very long but time doesn't mean anything. But that's the only time that people sleep are when they are... something so they have time to more or less gradually adjust, don't you see? Yes. But they're not conscious of the passage of time because [inaudible] you go to sleep you don't know time. And there's no pain in death. No matter how you come over here. [inaudible] lady [inaudible] she was, she had the idea of some reason that that when you came over you either went straight

to heaven where you are in the presence of God, or you went straight to Hell and that was that, you understand? Yes. Well it isn't true. No one over here has ever really gone to a final heaven yet and no one has gone to a kind of Hell. Hell that you used to believe in. You are exactly the same immediately after death [inaudible] before but you have a chance if you want to take a look at your life and make up your mind whether you want to look back A lot of people who had no spiritual knowledge or interest they [cough] don't [inaudible] what has happened. We have as much trouble convincing a lot of them that they are supposed to be what you call dead as we do convincing people sometimes that we're not dead, but they keep looking back and as long as they look back and

still trying to think of themselves as being in a physical body they can cause a great deal of trouble both for themselves and for other people. But we are all engaged in a great missionary enterprise over here. Fletcher, who is that making that statement now? A lady who called herself Hoopla Hubley? Uh huh. And Jack is the other. They're all nodding their heads and this girl is nodding her head and there is a priest here who keeps nodding his head, too. He said he had quite a surprise when he got here. But he said he had an inkling of all this simply because he knew my old friend, John Purdy, and someone named lot
