- Part Four of Claude Lanzmann's 1985 documentary film about the Holocaust. Following Roger Rosenblatt's introduction, Ruth Elias talks about arriving at Auschwitz. Rudolf Vrba talks about the Czech family camp and his job as a registrar; Filip Muller talks about the Czech family camp; and Rudolf Vrba talk about Fredy Hirsch and being part of the resistance. Then Muller and Vrba talk about the first Czech family transport, and Vrba talks about his escape. Jan Karski talks about being a courier for the Polish Government in exile, and his duties to talk to world leaders about the "Jewish Problem." Jan Karski continues talking about his job to reach international leaders, and gives a vivid description of his visit to a Jewish ghetto in Warsaw. A deputy to a Nazi commissioner of the Warsaw ghetto answers questions about the ghetto. Raul Hilberg talks about Adam Czerniakow's diary. Grassler answers questions about conditions and policies of the ghetto. Simhaw Rottem talks about his escape and return to the ghetto. Simhaw Rottem talks about his return to the Warsaw ghetto. Roger Rosenblatt interviews Claude Lanzmann about about the filming of the Shoah. Both English and other languages (subtitled) are featured in this part.
