"THE END OF THE HO CHI MINH TRAIL was originally broadcast on PBS on June 3, 1975, approximately fix weeks after the fall of Saigon. "It was a summary and review of the decades of American involvement in Indochina and of the saga of the Vietnamese peoples. It was produced weeks after the 'end' of the war in an attempt to apply a dispassionate eye to a controversial subject matter. It also attempted to combine different international perspectives into one informative program."--1975 Peabody Awards entry form.
