Description
Episode Description
"This is the first video in Connecticut Public Television's Multi-Cultural campaign. It establishes a framework and sets forth our goals. "A) Television is the most powerful medium of the 20th century. "B) Notes that many minutes have been wasted, acknowledges that we as broadcasters do not have all the answers. "C) Encourages community involvement so that together we can use the power of television to make a world we'd want to pass on to our children. "D) Pledges that Connecticut Public Television has been and will continue to be the place to turn to find out how far we have come together as a society and how much there is left to do. "This spot merits consideration because it addresses the central question facing broadcasters. Do we recognize the tremendous responsibility inherent in controlling the most powerful medium of the 20th century, and once acknowledged, how do we [proceed]'"-- 1992 Peabody Awards entry form
