Because it's helped me in a lot of ways, but it's also put me down and brought myself down. If you were sitting here at the bar with a bunch of people and you were going to go home with the people that you were drinking with and you knew that the driver, that car was drunk. Where'd you get the car? Why don't you tell me about that? How would you think the situation was to go or not? If I knew the party was drunk, I would not go at all. Matter of fact, I pride in myself now more than ever. I have a lot of things to accomplish and I feel if I'm going to put my life into somebody's hand, I'd rather do it to myself. And if I feel I was not capable, I'd have somebody that was straight that would take care of me. And usually the bartender is the straight person in the bar, you know, and I'd let them know what's happening. But that's up to the individual. If they don't let themselves know what's happening, somebody else
that's straight, then, you know, you don't get that help that you need and you're self -destructive. That's all that's to it. And if you want to die, you go with somebody that's drunk or very lucky.
