Oh but that seems like way too much trouble. Are you this really good. YOU KIDDING ME YOU KNOW YOU'RE REALLY SORRY MUM I'm just tinkering with the old VK P.S. again who'd be up to the pig. We want to be the big day. What's so special about today. Toby also took these kids to people who took him in history class. I mean do you recall it wouldn't be so proud.
But remember Stand up straight speak clearly and make plenty of on OWN. I took this isn't showing to be woke. Well I try not to let you down Mom. You know you won't talk to Syria. Oh no I got so carried away working on the PKP Yes like I completely forgot about my history report. This is terrible. If I go to school without my holding all of the stand up in front of the class with nothing to read everybody's going to laugh at me. What am I going to do when I'm on. My mind. I want to. Lose. Playing.
The fool. Can. Make. You. Cry. Choose a period in Maryland history between the time the first Europeans arrived in 16th 34 and the end of the Civil War in 1865 and. Then compare how these Marylanders lived with how we lived today. Your report should be at least three pages long not three pages. These teachers they want the impossible.
It's cruel and unusual. I guess I gotta face it I'm in big trouble and it's all because I wasted so much time installing this new program on the VK p.s. oh yeah. And when I can't read it I can't believe it. Yes now it's a time machine and it comes with its own remote control. Yes that means that means I can get my history report finished. Oh boy I'll just use the VK PSP to send me to the library. Only now I can send myself two days back in time. So I'll have plenty of time to research my report. OK come on we're going back in time. But. This doesn't look like a public library. Where am I.
I was promised a new indentured servant now where in the place of the master. Right. Well this must be some sort of mistake here. Have you been out of town too long without get up are you a bit dark. Now at the end of this indenture you will receive your freedom do this in a one hour to have three barrels of corn a new suit of clothes and the right to fifty acres of land the acres of land. Bet you didn't read all the instruction Mr Drew. Sure I did I mean. Well I skimmed the first step paragraph. Well I read the first sentence maybe at least you could do with your 40 video boy ask you three questions about your field trip through towing if you're going to answer all 110 correct. Oh nope you get home. If you get one wrong oh where oh oh oh guess you'll be lost forever in Maryland history. Thanks I really appreciate that. Oh the pressure is really on. Hey I'm going to have to get these right. See if you can answer these questions to Gary here we go. Question number one when you venture to trade barriers to 269 270 you learned all about what life was like for that indentured servitude to a
backup plan to be sure and which of the following was a regular part of a defense or furtherance duties owner took far greater corn be told the best go see use of the home to weave the fields or D all of the above. Well I remember that an indentured servant was somebody who couldn't afford to pay for their own passage from England to the colonies and that he was put to work almost immediately after arriving in the New World so I'm going to say the answer is D Yes D indentured servants Waverley ground corn and pink bugs all to tobacco and we did the fields with all those birds should be born. Well Joy here again we learn from been buried there in 67. Oh right here's quite true number one for one I'm ready for the next one. Whom you turn 40 repeatedly during the phone book for different him back to you for tearing.
Couldn't read ordered soldiers but he fritters Warner sure if for free. John Paul George Ringo. Oh that's an easy one the answer is B the British sail the ship the. Half the river and shell port can read for 25 hours before breaking off the attack when it looks like we have good superfruit over history one of terror. Oh it's the vid take just one more quarter note your own you're aware. Oh ok I'm too poor to hope you are too. I know I can do this with me walking there are question number three. No this ones are tough for you so parents are in trouble. OK during the battle over Tito you'll use soldiers or soldiers from the north for the rebels. Oh so no need for a coat before you trick or four feet pads. Oh I remember that a Southern soldier or rebel was often called a gray coat because of the color of the uniform they wore.

Looks mid-September a dream 60 grew pot stay where you are all just recalibrate the VK p.s. and you'll be home in no time. You know pop pop
Don't go anywhere. NOR. Will the kids. It looks like pop quiz is off on a field trip of its own. I hope he learns as much about Maryland history as we did today. You know not everybody is lucky enough to have his or her own time machine. So if you don't. And you'd like to still find out more about Maryland's first European settlers the War of 1812 war the American Civil War. Visit your local public library and ask if they have a special section on their own history. Or maybe you can convince your parents teachers to take you on a day trip to historic St. Mary city Fort McHenry or in Tito. Then you can share what you learned with your classmates and friends. So this is Bob the Vitex saying. Don't let history be a mystery. Learning about the past be a blast. I hope I'll see you next
time on the NPT vid kid close. To the room boys and let me tell you about the future.

- Episode Description
- In this special, Bob the Vid Tech is so excited to have new software for the Vid Kid Program Satellite that he's completely forgotten about his history report. He discovers the new VKPS software can transport him back in time, so he decides to send himself back a couple of days to the library and do research. Things don't go as planned and Bob begins another adventure in "Bob the Vid Tech: Lost in Maryland History". Due in part to the fact that he never really read the instructions, Bob sends himself back more than 300 years, where he learns about colonial life at St. Mary' s City, the bombardment of Fort McHenry, and life during the Civil War.
- Episode Description
- """Is this his lucky break? Or more than he bargained for? ""When Bob the Vid Tech realizes that he hasn't finished his history homework, he accidentally sends himself back in time more than 300 yeas into Maryland's past. As Bob tries to find his way home, he's mistaken for: an indentured servant in 1687; a British spy at Ft. McHenry in 1814; and a Union scout at the battle of Antietam in 1862. ""We are submitting this video for your consideration because of the overwhelmingly positive reaction we received from Maryland school teachers, parents, and living history specialists. When the program first aired in Sept. 1997, many educators contacted us to ask if they could incorporate it into their regular Maryland history curriculum. (Of course, we said yes!) Parents told us that they enjoyed watching the program as much as their children because it works on multiple educational levels. And local historians applauded the fact that we were approaching history in a completely new way -- instead of having stuffy academics recite dates and facts, we use a comedic narrative to introduce information to children. It was at this point we realized that VID KID: LOST IN MARYLAND HISTORY was serving an audience that is largely ignored: It is an educational program produced in Maryland, about Maryland, for parents and children who want to learn more about the state in which they live. But most importantly, it is fun and educational.""--1997 Peabody Awards entry form."
