Greetings I'm Christie the wordsmith. Lately on the series we've been plying the pages of an unusual compendium called Drunk the definitive drinkers dictionary. Writer and word lover Paul Dixon with the help of other dictionary makers researchers doctors and bartenders amassed a staggering two thousand nine hundred sixty four slang synonyms for drunk in this one hundred eighty eight page volume many entries in the drinker's dictionary are familiar to most American English speakers hammered it's whacked Sallust plowed and drunk as a skunk. Others though are strange and inexplicable. Such as. Malo Lang aerated PAB TICKY boo Dixon doesn't place these on familiar terms in any context. Leaving us to wonder if they've ever been in circulation anywhere in one. Unusual but satisfying entry circling over Shannon Dixon notes in Ireland circling over Shannon was coined after Boris Yeltsin's infamous 1994 trip to Ireland where he was reportedly too drunk to get off the plane so they circled the
