Greetings I'm Christie the wordsmith. Someone with a Midas touch has a talent for turning any venture into a success. This illusion comes from the legend of King Midas of ancient Phrygia or modern day Turkey. The story opens with the mighty God Dion niceness granting King Midas a wish as a reward for his hospitality. The King accepted the offer his wish being that everything he touched would turn to gold. Dionysus made it so. And the ecstatic King began experimenting with his new power. The apples in his orchard in the crimson roses in his garden all turned to pure gold at the King's touch. Even where Midas walked he left golden footprints dreaming of wealth unimaginable. The king called for a seller a Tory feast. But of course his food and wine were impossible to eat and drink because they turned to gold when he touched them. So too did his beloved daughter when he reached to embrace her King Midas realize the folly of his desire and begged Dionysus to have his wish

withdrawn. MIDAS washed away the curse of gold by bathing in the river packed colas though the moral of this tale is a cautionary one. The modern use of the phrase Midas touch is almost always positive. Those with the Midas touch seem to be unfailingly successful at whatever they put their hands to.
