This is not a test, you cannot fail. Were you in the class that we filmed? Yeah. Okay. So you should be good at spelling because you've been warmed up by that clock. I'm set. I'm on. Okay. And give us your full name and spell it for us please. This is a spelling test I told you. Dried cartels for you. Okay. Spell please. J -E -R -A -R -D cartels, C -A -R -L -O -S, V -H -E -I -G -I -L. Great. And what grade are you in? Six. Sixth grade. What classes do you have with Mr. Agar? Reading, language arts, spelling, like art class, different activities. Okay. I'm going to start a sentence and I want you to repeat the sentence and finish it for me. Okay. Because we have to ask in certain ways so that we can edit this all together. It probably makes sense when you see this on TV. Um, Mr. V -Hills, excuse me, Mr. V -Hills. You're Mr. V -Hills. Mr. Rivera is a good teacher
because... Because... No, Mr. Rivera is a good teacher because... Um, Mr. Rivera is a good teacher because he is smart, enjoys what he is doing. Um, is fair to everyone else. He, like, he is... He does a lot of fun activities. Um, and his real... How, um, emotional. What are some of the fun activities that he's done? Um, he, he does a lot of art with us. Um, in the mornings, he, um, he, like, like you saw this morning or today, um, the good new. He does that every morning with us about the, like, what is new and what is also good. Um, he is going to be doing activity called tie -bow with us
and he, he, we go do experiments and, um, we, we do a lot of art, mostly coloring. Um, we, we always, we have conversations because he is our home marine teacher and if we did something wrong, we always discuss it and, um, we last, last, last week, um, we had a conversation because some of our, some of my peers in this grade weren't getting along so yet we all discussed it, gave each other hugs and, and just a lot of activities like that. Okay, repeat this for me and then finish it. I look forward to his class because... um, just to enjoy his company and, um, getting, wondering what we're going to do next, like, like, art
or, um, wondering if this, if, if today will be the day that we'll do tie -bow or just go out and, um, play basketball. Okay, Mr. Rivera has helped me by... Mr. Rivera has helped me by being more show, socialized with other peers. Um, he... Can I stop here for a second? Can you do that again for me? We had some noise in the background. Mr. Rivera has blown, I'm sorry. Okay, what was it? Mr. Rivera has helped me by... Mr. Rivera has helped me by being more socialized with my peers. Um, um, being more active in the mornings, um, just, just, um, paying attention more on my score, than more on my friends, and just,
just, more of the socialized art. What do you like most about his classes? Are they, uh, interesting or exciting or hard or easy? What do you like most about them? They're, they're... Oh yeah, his classes are interesting or exciting by just wondering what we're gonna do in his class. Um, they're... Some subjects are hard or what the activity is, but some are easy like art. Um, if we go into his class and we're looking forward to doing an egg since it's Easter time, we look forward to doing that. This may be a little early on in your life, but I think most kids kind of think along these lines at some point. But, uh, let's start with this. What do you, what do you want to do? What do you think you want to do? And, um, I, I think in my lifetime, I'd want
to be a professional basketball player. Is Mr. Rivera helped you, uh, towards that goal in any way? Um, we've, I think, sometime in this year, we had a discussion about what, what have we wanted to do and, and he says, and he told us once, if we want to reach our goal, we have to keep trying and never to give it. And then, how do you think that helped you? Um, that there's people on counting, counting on me to reach, um, Michael. Do you have anything you want to say about Mr. Rivera or to Mr. Rivera? Um, I'm glad that you got the Golden Apple Award and it's, it's very nice for our school because this, it has been the first person in our school district to, um, to achieve that. His goal was, which was to get the Golden Apple Award, so I can congratulate him on that. Great. Thank you very much. Do you have anything you can pick
on? No. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right.
All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right.
All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. What do you get to get pictures out of that? Oh, his history art projects and then the good and nice stuff that you see. You don't even have to go to school? Mm -hmm. That's bullshit. No, I didn't.
