The band has won over 100 first place awards and has performed throughout this country in Canada and parades and sales shows. For the past five years they've been the Atlantic coast champions of the tournament of bands and are undefeated in New Jersey's show competition for several consecutive years. You know that's an impressive background for a band that contains nearly a quarter of the entire body of ice. So now let's watch the Blue Devils marching band. Is.

I think. It's in the interest. And the enthusiasm for the band. Has become such. An enormous thing that we just don't seem to have any trouble keeping our membership up. In fact. When. I'm in. Come.

I'm so i'm. Well. High school student certainly isn't a born March. And. Sometimes we do everything. Including getting our knees to get on the march. It's a difficult thing for a lot of people especially those students whose bodies haven't really developed the kind of coordination. Yet. Say that maybe their minds. Can go.
On because. As things
that. New Jersey is well represented by the marching bands in Glen Ridge High School. Since 1971 working with their director George Hannas they won over 90 percent of the shows they entered. And if you're a professional sports fan you want to do the same the Glen Ridge band on national television during Giants Jets. Yankee games. Now some band directors house
outsiders in creating their shows a prison each year. But. The Glenwood show is completely done by the band staffs with the students themselves to the whole thing. So now let's take a look. At the Glen Ridge. Watching van as soon as he can get

The band has accumulated close to 200 first place sources and citations for excellence this. Fall before governors and presidents. And this past May they travel to St. Louis Missouri where they competed in the Six Flags Marching Band Festival. And incidentally. Received a superior evaluation. Are quite excited about the band itself. It has a personality that a spirit that I haven't seen for quite a while. I attribute that partly to the fact that we did take the youngsters to a band camp the shoe are the very first time we've ever. Had this experience. On the
phone as. The ones on the phone.
On his
own. I find that the youngsters love a challenge and each year is a brand new year. It's exciting. Each beach band is an entirely different ball with an entirely different personality. And. Not every kid is interested in sports or the other activities of the school.
