the pain just how safe is your child on the school bus inspections revealed dozens of safety violations and then there were the rain what the libertarian very savory and gubernatorial candidacy in this fall's campaign the first lady comes to new jersey campaign for democrat jim mcgreevey the search continues for missing beauty it's nice
this is bs and the political party emmy award winning bad breaks all tires and flawed
safety equipment inspections reveal some new jersey school children may be riding on dangerous buses good evening more than two thirds of the buses checked have safety violations that's the finding of state police investigators to say dozens of vehicles failed spot inspections this summer rich young reports the state announced today it's established a task force to review school bus safety that the inspections were done today students who ride buses in jersey city might be walking past a police surprised to hear an orchestra killed more than two dozen buses and safety violations and were ordered out of service parents are unhappy because if they do nothing best outfits or the taxpayers as not fit to ask what is still just a police say one hundred twenty buses in jersey city irving tim sayer go unsolved in were inspected at six were taken off the road problems range from faulty brakes involved buyers to emergency powers that were part of the service in jersey city is run by a private school officials insist
every bus mail saying our inspectors are out checking on a daily basis we have for full time people that do this to be sure that all of the buses that are being used have a current ballot inspections for a lot of the problems the city announced a new task force to examine the safety of what we want to do however is to ensure as soon as possible that are our school buses are safe as possible really buses are inspected twice here but apparently problems are rising and those in between periods even so the lyric doesn't think the current system is broken down fortunately in the state we have not had any incidents of children fatalities child fatalities based on actual motor vehicle crashes so certainly that's a good statistic our job is to make sure we don't have any baskets as text down to pen conover who runs eleven buses and inspection station this afternoon his brand new bus failed for not having a proper insurance card because the mechanical problems like that breaks the regions snapchat them appeared iran that i'm going to get too far behind
one thing breaks benefiting the attorney general plans to have the special bus if the task force and he later this winter were challenging a new strategy now new jersey will soon require public school teachers to go back to class the whitman administration has announced a revised plan for teachers to undergo a hundred hours of mandatory training agreed five years jersey is the only state that does not require a continuing professional education program visiting a south jersey high school today the governor said this plan backed by the ncaa will benefit all of new jersey students all across the state this plan will benefit children first and foremost by getting teachers the knowledge and the skills they'll need to help students achieve the high academic standards we've set in the state of new jersey the original plan would have made it easy for teachers to lose a license for refusing retraining now the education department will
step in immediately and work with those teachers before their licenses in jeopardy it's nearing the height of new jersey's political season and the governor unveiled a new campaign ad today this one goes on the attack appearing in the habit of boy scouts the governor's accomplishments before attacking her democratic challenger on his tax record as mayor of woodbridge and state senator referred to mcgreevey as a tax and spend democrat martha stewart's keep our economy strong as a state legislator mcgreevey voted to raise sales and income taxes two point eight billion dollars to jim mcgreevey just plain wrong on taxes today mcgreevey said the governor's that is a distortion of his record in time the democrats' campaign got a boost today first lady hillary rodham clinton was in new jersey raising money as senior political correspondent michael aron reporter she was also raising hopes that victory is possible in the gubernatorial and legislative elections a
change and the holes in a name in searches been in many rooms like this any enthusiasm that you have in this room this far from election tells me that you are on the right things are in the country the answer jim mcgreevey like her husband understands the importance of early childhood education daycare parental involvement and a precious training for non college bound students if you take this package that gm is advocating for a lifetime warning you can see what a difference it would make in the lives of the people of this state all we need is to get him a lot this was a women's event with many speakers criticizing governor wins record on
women's issues says clinton's attack was very light an indirect focusing mainly on the greedy strikes as he sees them the attack or felt other you're not playing the delight of my children no more the candidate also continued his recent criticism of whitman's education record quoting again the new jersey's new core curriculum standards for poorly in a think tank or fourth we have a president a first lady who is talking about setting standards of accents and yet we have a governor who unfortunately has ripped apart the quality of standards in our educational system mrs clinton's paid lip service to agree these two other big issues like property taxes in ohio auto insurance and the crowd played to hear it in this recession and to others for high rollers democrats hope to raise a quarter of a million dollars for the fall campaign like where an indian tribes now that libertarian gubernatorial candidate mary sabre and has made it a three way race what will that mean in this campaign
season state house correspondent jim parker examines who might gain who might lose with this a big factor even say words campaign admits he's got his work cut out for him if he's to become the first independent candidate in the modern era to win election a statewide office here it's a viewpoint shared by many who volunteers the politic its people are more prone to an argument from an outsider that we need change a radical change one thing sorry going well i think it's a hard time to make that argument this point new jersey in this point america's things are relatively stable and prosperous one small apartment visited one small garment they'd be very happy with the weapons and have the money that election the point is people once more garment they want a fashion garment that one garment intruding in all their lives political observers say even if savings messages minimal government which resonates with voters is unlikely to raise the billions needed to get that message out largely through television advertising even those qualify
for matching funds is probably going to have maybe three quarters million dollars maybe even a million but even a million have doesn't make much of the dentures saber has ever run for public office before but he insists he's into when he does and who would be hurt most by tennessee whitman were mcgreevey people as i could speculate who's he going to take brown well i have to say that i think that anyone that supports legalizing drugs and prostitution and doing away with medicare and medicaid is not one of my voters are not too worried about it i really want to change really want something different to when you can says mcgreevey stands to lose the most votes to say britain or whitman is the incumbent and she's known if people want a vote against her they now have two alternatives rather than one saverin raised and spent more than two hundred ten thousand dollars to qualify for public funds and a place in the upcoming debates jim harper and endings there's more to come tonight an injury and is the state wants people to
call for new jersey well explain and whereas nelson grows the search continues for the millionaire businessman and former state gop chairman has become of course a long email address dot com as both residents in several parts of the state are reporting a mysterious older tonight a state environmental officials believe it could be
related to the release of hydrocarbons at a mobile refinery plant this afternoon in paul's borrow gloucester county residents in cherry hill have also reported a rotten egg smell they did that this afternoon and dozens of residents and mercer county say they've been spelling something similar as well to pse and g says they've had two dozen crews in the area but they don't think the problem was a gas leak no one has been evacuated from their homes and there have been no reports of any injuries or one hundred thousand dollars war has been offered by the family of suspected a kidnapping victim nelson gross gross a millionaire businessman from subtle river was last seen last wednesday with two unidentified man judge to guess press reports the mystery surrounding the disappearance of nelson gross began outside binghamton restaurant a perverted fairy on the hudson river rose had owned the place for years his son manages according to published reports the last known person to see why it was that was right here in the parking lot outside of the family restaurant nelson gross was in his vehicle with two men at
the sun did not recognize the sudden wave two was father felt that his father ignored him shortly later he called his father on a cellular phone and the father told the sun according to officials it's only business authorities now know that in that same timeframe rose went to his local bank to withdraw twenty thousand dollars banked videotape shows an unidentified man who else over the weekend grocers bmw sedan was found adding to the mystery it was found just across the george washington bridge in new york's washington heights section which is known for having drug trafficking the fbi which has been called in to investigate has been very tight lipped about the case in the eyes of the resources it takes to county prosecutors should too the post family lives here in south river mrs grosses the chairperson of new jersey's racing commission appointed by governor whitman but thirty years ago what was nelson gross who was the heavy hitter of republican politics he was a state gop chairman and a major fund raiser for
president nixon during the bitter tail the administration grows was convicted of campaign fund raising improprieties they serve six months in prison the fbi says this case is a top priority other than that those were conducting this investigation had very little to say about a tricky gas present in use saddle river the man who led the new jersey state police for nearly a decade in the sixties and seventies has died david kelley suffered a stroke while battling cancer he was seventy nine kelly was the state's top cop between nineteen sixty five and seventy four he was with the state police for twenty years kelly is credited with pushing for more state police manpower beefing up criminal investigations and starting up a computer network when we come back tonight in indiana has a look at the day's business happens is another casino properties changing hands and some apple farmers are concerned new rules being considered by the fda could squeeze them out of business this morning with that story coming up next it's
been so as someone that found the show after twelve back in july we reported that they were putting some sort of a property on sale in say which one i guess some people think that it's the trump plaza has donald trump found a buyer for his plaza hotel a casino in atlantic city will apparently someone was they believe trump is near to closing a deal that will fetch a
billion dollars for the boardwalk casino hotel however analysts say trump was it isn't worth a bit of only about two thirds that about a bass drum spokesperson says it no said he knew of no that he knew of no reason for the stock are troubled tells a casino resort company was up about twelve percent at one point today it's probably not a main you know off the top of your head with filth unintended voted for seventy six years of w l mom hat company has been taking effect here at this factory in irving hats that are part of uniforms as well as a cowboy hat now the company is buying a larger competitor langenberg have company for nearly three million dollars or three days lying in britain the oldest map maker in the us it also makes cowboy hats as moles baseball for dummies more jobs right here in your ringtone area will be expanding in growth for the race and more offers people the additional business company expects to hire more people in the factory as well now bob has twenty five employees right now customer service accounting work for both companies will be done from a corporate
headquarters which will be located here in new jersey the deal expected a close buddy and hats off to them anything but a blue monday on wall street today stocks rally but not sell enough to stay above the eight thousand mark buy the clothes instead the dow settled for a seventy nine and a half point a game too close less than four points shy of the eight thousand mark the end of by the rosary the nasdaq composite added nine years of the violin again about five barnes also moved out that for thirty years you up nearly half a point of prizes you are easing to six point three five percent it's is synonymous with the fall season as pumpkin pie and thanksgiving but apple cider as we know it could be on its way out new regulations could be on the way which could curb it which would that is curbside ears fresh flavor and could cost farmers who make it nearly three hundred thousand gallons of cider jersey cards each year for the food and drug administration says the full bodied robot juice could make you
sick and even kill you if not produce proper side are contaminated with a strain of the bacteria eat whole life is the call for some apple farmers believe the fda will soon mandate pasteurization they say that could kill their business cider doesn't actually have the call it in that it's not it's not carried as the natural thing that happens occasionally or happened a few times is said and our customers tell us they don't want as dry cider because indeed the thought is this the pasteurization may change the taste and the flavor that people really look for the taste would not be the only sacrifice farmers say the equipment necessary for pasteurization runs as much as forty thousand dollars so that's enough to squash profits beer for a more for a bit more severe producers of cider new jersey would not be able to afford a commissioner in that would start producing
sad there are thirty eight apple orchards producing sizes new jersey and it most are squeezed by high costs days of roadside cider market could quickly become just a sweet man now before you decided to go on a biting worse i'd remember this was only been a few cases were insider has not been up to snuff with it was produced the fda is still the process of developing a concrete regulations for cider producers it plans to start with guidelines for proper cleaning of the equipment the jews but if the fda decides the mandate removal of ninety nine point nine percent of all bacteria have to order pasteurization file regulation should be about twenty of the year until then the fda is asking workers to use warning labels about proper family wealth what goes better with cider doughnuts for fred the baker time has run out on one last time fred cate is the
fictional baker synonymous with the phrase time to make robots he's played by actor michael vale is hanging up his dunkin donuts apron after fifteen years and more than eighty tv commercials in honor of friends make believe retirement each customer received a free donut today duncan claims it was the largest single one day food giveaway ever that's half of our staff were nearly three hundred stores in new jersey the company estimates it gave away about three high three hundred thousand dollar it's your new jersey six million nationwide as for michael vale he is not retiring he's an actor most of those people go back in washington the law certainly well ana blows our way to the dave would still have the violence that's going on
the polls but so no way giants better last season already week four of the nfl season shows that johnson won and three after losing two grams of protein free yesterday and the jets are two and two after yesterday jets and raiders very little strategy and this would all just very special teams play like this late feel will block that separate mickens and seventy two yard line putting the jets ahead and they managed to hold for the win got bill parcells says he's happy with his
team's place or eighties nelly furtado made fun of if we lost this game in an election and it has the problem of precludes that they were traveling as a certain moral the first one to even you know twelve years ago and now you know i don't think look for a handsome horns on yemen you know have big party but there's little information you know they store last week makes me feel worse but that was with a good shape as solo part on the bengals next on an interesting ceremony at rutgers on saturday before the team took to the field as boston college the school was honored honored by its class of nineteen forty nine with a gift a statue recognizing rutgers as being the birthplace of college football history was in november eighteen sixty nine letters and princeton play the first college football game now today's team ironically as often with more stark set nineteen fifty
