And then there's one shot of all these GI's in their birthday suits, doing a little skinny dip in. Well, I was naturally familiar with the fact that there was a stock water tank there full of a nice cool water and whenever I had an opportunity and came by there, naturally I took a swim in that cool water, which was what a luxury out there on the desert to be able to jump in, close and all and enjoy that and get clean from all the dirt that came up because the roads in the desert were just completely dusty, almost impenetrable amount of dust whenever we went
along the roads of naturally, a lot of that got on us. So we get a bath at the same time, it really worked out well. One last question, go right in a little tighter. Okay, check your focus. I just want to make sure I get this. I want you to tell me again about how you're looking through the viewfinder, but then you picked up the piece of welder's glass and come up through it once you saw it. Well, while I was running my motion picture camera that I panorammed and was operating directly, I had to have a filter on the viewfinder to protect my
eyes because we knew the tremendous brilliance of the explosion would be too much and would be in fact dangerous. So at the time, some 30 seconds before the explosion, the cameras started running, so I immediately went to the viewfinder and started staring through it even though I could see nothing because of that dark filter there. And as it approached zero, I was naturally in tremendous expectation as to what we would see. And at zero, the filter, which was in front of the viewfinder, just lit up as bright as the sun. And so I was momentarily blinded by that brightness. And so I turned my head towards the left where the oscuro mountains were
and looked at them and I saw that they were lit as brilliant layer as the sun or even more so. So as soon as my eyes adjusted again, I looked back through the viewfinder. I saw that the ball of fire was growing and brilliant and starting to rise. So I grabbed the controls of my camera and started panoramming the camera up to follow the ball of fire as it was rising. And I continued to photograph them for the next minute or more. That's great. Thank you. And it was just as fire. I mean, is there any way you could describe it besides, I mean, did it remind you to think of what it must be like on the sun or something like that? I really can't say anything more than what I said. Okay. I think we're done and I thank you so very much.
So that's the old badge. I remember saw those badges but they were wearing down at the Trinity site and white ones. That's what's surprising though. That's literally just like a little button. You know, it's not very high -tech. That's what
I'm trying to say. Yeah, I mean, I still see it a little bit, but we got almost all of it, you know. That's the head. We got mostly. How are we doing on time? It's almost. It's about 20 -till, three. We can take with us, so
we're going to have to shoot on the salt. No, I think we'll take most of that. Okay, so we're going to have to shoot too much here, though. No, there's a lot of duplicates in there. Good. It's just easier in the studio. I don't know if that's so much better. We could do a better job. We're using it for the problem, but that could have been it. I don't like this one a lot. But it's great. It's yellow enough so we can put white tape over it and it'll pop right out. Yeah, that's a nice color. So Roger, what's your
schedule like this afternoon? We'll be out of here by 4 .30 and 3. We'll be out of here by 4 .30. John, we moved. I guess you did. Yeah, Roger's on the archival material. Yeah, you guys are not trustworthy. Wow. Just like the general rule. It's good, I'm sure. Specifically for us, you don't need to. But I mean in general, that's important. It's also called covering your butt in case anything goes wrong. That's right. Almost video tips that you gave us. How are those put together just like thrown together? Or did you guys think about it and tried to make it? Just see when you go through. We actually blocked out those things. We got from timelights. Yes. Does the film group here? Do they ever do anything with our couple? They're also doing like safety
type films. It's all work for hire. Oh, really? They don't have that. They don't do any production work anymore. They do, and let me backtrack because I'm on the speak. They're hired to go out and save film a process or something. And play with the tape until they get a finished product. But they're not doing anything that you would show commercials around to spend. Hello? That's a pretty small group of them. They're technically editing and that's where a couple others that don't go all the way to cameras. Yes. That's sort of like a format. Charlie Fernandes. Yeah. He's retired. Oh, he's retired. That's the last time. Yeah, he was there for years and years. Yeah. That's a wonderful last night's film. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We were down at the trendy site. I guess it was anywhere. It was a certain extent that you wanted.
And the boom operator was in leather pants and in leather jacket. Yeah. In boots. Yeah. To be miserable. Oh yeah. It was warm. And that's the message. You just feel kind of fun. What about I wouldn't do it? There's just some little stuff on that though. So should we do the hard pages first? Yeah. Okay. Yeah, those would be the shiny ones. You got the little ones, you got the bigger ones. The bigger ones, please. What are we going to do with those? Are the people that we actually talk to on those pages? Are we doing more general type of thing?
We're going to do general and specifics. We'll set it up. The other ones, I'm sorry. Oh, you went the bigger sheet. Yeah. Here we go. Okay.
I don't want to break it. Let's see. Okay. Okay. Okay. Close one. Okay. Okay. I'll try. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. No? No? I wish. Yeah, there's Pranklein looking here. Yeah. Okay, go push. That's a good one though,
okay, just a little bit, okay, go ahead. That's it, we got the trick now. No, that's pretty good, go ahead. Okay, stand by, go ahead. Too fast, back up, a little slow. Well, I can't get up, but I couldn't end it. Here we go. Did I go over to get this kind of abuse? Oh,
I guess it is. Sorry, go ahead. Too fast, really smoother than the other. That wasn't better. Okay, let's go ahead.
Let's go ahead. I think he's going to work great. Yeah.
Oh, I know. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Okay. Well, I think it is. Yeah. Thank you.
