And who is this? That's Herbie's youngest Tamela. I sent her a birthday card. Her birthday is coming up on the 22nd. My birthday is on the 29th. The 29th of December? All my friends have birthdays within two weeks. Happy birthday. Yeah, it's really fun. My brother and sister were born on the same day two years apart. Wow. Yeah. So, birthdays are easy in our family. Yeah. Okay, let's show me your doll again. Okay. Shall I start from the beginning? Yeah, and from picking her up here. Okay, this is a Pablo lady type of a doll. And I got her all dressed up like the Pablo ladies with the white boots that comes up to about below the knee. And I got
her dressed in a month -a -style Indian dress, one shoulder, one goes under the arm that I don't over the shoulder. And then a red sash. It's a hand -woven sash. And then I made her this little dress under dress to wear as part, if she don't wear her a month as she can just wear this and tie that around her middle. Then she's got a paddy coat. And then back here she wears this fancy scarf. They wear this during dancing and when they just want to look real dressy. And then a lot of beads on her neck and her earrings and her jungle is back here. And then the Pablo girls, they always wear the bangs with the sideburns and then the jungle in the back. And then little neighborhoods while they look their hair is just swooped back and tied
in the jungle. And they're usually dressed in full skirts. I got a pair of never -old dolls you want to see, those. I think we'll just take a nap. So you can say that again, that would be great. Okay. Go ahead and just play with her. Okay. As you were. This is a Pablo doll. Show me those shoes again. Oh, here's a quite boot. They're made of buckskin and leather. And they just come up to just below the knee where they tie. And she's wearing a black montage style dress where that when they're dancing or if they want to be real dressed up. And then I sometimes they'll wear the undershirt and sometimes they won't just go around bear bear of children. But this particular lady has an underdress on and it's real fancy, a petticoat. And then of course if
you want to be a well -dressed Indian lady why you wear this fancy scarf and you wear this again when you're dancing and then lots of jewelry if you have jewelry and then earrings. And the Pablo ladies always have bangs so do the Pablo then they have the bangs and the sideburns here and then they tie the jungle in the back. And the Turner towards me. And this style of pattern that I use at least there you can have them sitting down and they sit nicely. And you can get a stand for it and have them stand up too you know if you just get the right kind of a stand and clip it around the waistline then they'll stand up.
How many hours does it take for you to make a doll? Oh it takes me about a full week I guess just to work on one doll. I don't work steady I have to stop and do other things besides that my eyes get tired and I can't see so I do one thing at a time. Okay keep holding on there I'm just doing close -up shots. I'm just going to feed. Here's one
with a pot in my hand. Oh this is a sculptor that we never heard about that. Here's one when I got the trophy. Here's one with a doll making both working on a doll. Somebody took a picture of me. This is
a Margaret's little graduation picture. Not Margaret's. I'm just going to take a picture of the doll that I'm going to make. I'm just going to take a picture of the doll.
