I got it at a state auction sale. At Port Gates talk about it which is on the Indian reservation and this is an Indian. Language. Bible. I bought a large. Table full of books and this was hidden in the middle of it. How much to pay. Paid a dollar for the whole table for the whole table for the whole table. Yes. Well it's of considerable interest. Because it is in the Dakota language. Yes. It's edited by this man Williamson who is a Presbyterian and he was educated in me before he moved to Fort Snelling which is present day Minneapolis. And he was known as the father of the Dakota mission as they tried to Christianize the Dakota. Who originated. From. The Minneapolis area. They were pushed. Ever west towards. The interesting thing about Williamson is that he translated directly from the Hebrew. And this is. Various sections of the Old Testament. And there's been a huge increase in recent years in the value of.
Native American. Texts and dialogues. And you're looking at a rare book nowadays. It's not in the standard sources of bibliography. And my colleagues and I tracked it for auction records and we couldn't find one. It's got a little bit of. Where to the Kaaba. And also. To the spine that needs addressing and some damp staining inside. But apart from that. It's. A very handsome specimen in its original line stamped the binding. And I think. The purpose is a value. You'd probably be saying. Upwards of. 2500 household and possibly even a mole or a good specialist all of them. It might be sort of 25 to 35 hundred dollars all at a minimum. It'll probably have a much. Better place in my house and where it was setting. It was out the
garage in a box full of other old books.

Description
Episode Description
Maxwell D. (Maxwell Davenport) Taylor, a United States Army General and diplomat, discusses briefly his Korean War experience and how that helped him in Vietnam. Taylor explains that when he first retired in 1959 he never thought the United States would become involved in Vietnam. Taylor recalls the Geneva Agreements in 1954 and that he disagreed with Eisenhower's decision about Dien Bien Phu. Taylor also discusses his impressions of Diem and how Taylor alleges the United States pulled the rug out from Diem, which created chaos that Taylor inherited when he became ambassador.
