Right now I would like to bring back the McLean family band with a beautiful classical tune featuring Ruth MacLaine on vocals Please welcome the McClain family band. Let's see. Thank you beautiful. I'm standing right now next to who I assume is the head of the
McLean family band Raymond McLean. How long have you been together as a family band. Well I thought you're going to say as a family and a curse for some of us has been longer than for others. We began playing in the living room like front porch like imagine a lot of families did I think yours did of course. Thank you. About 12 13 years ago. Has this been a tradition in your family or in the generations before us first playing music together was in lots of families are ours too. So your father before you were knew his father before they used to play in a string band and my grandfather used to sing along and so forth. Now your wife what is her name. Betty Betty is she. She's not with us right now. She's at home doing our business I dressed smartly. I also know you have played so many different countries so 60 to I think is the month that we got. Do you find that your music goes over well in places like Japan and Afghanistan.
Sure. Music is music and people are people. People like to have good times. And music is really just a kind of a means to communicating it. Its been a pleasure to have you here as well as your entire family. I would like to welcome back once again with another tune. What is this tune called under the double eagle it's an instrumental and you'll see. All right. I believe you at all surprised. OK. Once again the McLean family band. And by the way that was Nancy-Ann on that fancy footwork.
They're terrific people standing next to me right now is my guest Greg Brown. Nixon was called early and this is a tune that you've written about God or about the weather or it's about a little town called early in the northwest and it's a town I knew we were going to the town and I thought they must have named it for the early morning light. Coming up over the prairie's. But it turned out it was actually named for a guy named Judge early. One that's out in a poker game and finished the song and welcome once again Greg Brown. One morning I walked. Oh I lived up on the street. No one was around. Sun was just coming. Up over my whole
history. You know a little oh fun time. Do we know if the moaning life for when the dew is still ahead. So Brad latter end up putting my home on the rail. Pizza was on horse town and that's all right I had with me. The flower Oh forever forever you get bloody all the little towns blossom. Soon there were many scatter light five flights crossed and one was caught early. Sure thing did rise in modern life but they do still that.
So let us. Bylaw Oh yes it was your style and that's all rise with me. And it's many sub five star on the floor by the fire and I don't know but there were a few was where I would use the for the green Some are we seeing for you here in my life with a Do this do that. So let us my
whole mole in the room it's a Awolowo North style. That's all right. For tonight I would like to thank my guest Greg Brown the red will abandon McLean family band next week.
