- Description
- Paul McCartney's autobiographical musical odyssey, which is making its world television premiere, is a journey that takes McCartney back to his early years in Liverpool. The program documents the genesis of the "Oratorio" composition, including background material on Liverpool as well as interviews and rehearsals. The spotlight then moves to the first performance of the eight movement composition, co-composed by Carl Davis and featuring soloist Kiri Te Kanawa and Jerry Hadley with the Royal Liverpool Orchestra and Choir, performed at the Liverpool Cathedral.
