Description
Governor Wallace's presidential campaign, 1968--appearance at the Cow Palace. Shots of supporters with banners walking across parking lot at the Cow Palace; Trailways buses. Inside: shots of crowd, close-up of Wallace campaign button, poster: Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum, Wallace. Wallace at podium, with crowd chanting "We want Wallace." Crowd shots, police in riot gear; Band and crowd perform "God Bless America." Brief questions with crowd members on why they support Wallace, including one man who is totally against him. Comments: "He's the right man;" "Give the Commies back whay they deserve." Wallace claims to support all races. He promises to take all Commies out of the U.S. Shots of the crowd leaving. Interviewer intereviews crowd in lobby with question: What do you think of demonstrators? He asks why they are agitated by the Commies and why they are voting for Wallce. He interviews some who don't support Wallace. People say Johnson is covering up. Shots of the band playing and the band director. Long shots of the stage. Shots of campaign workers.
