Episode Description
Lurlean Hunter has won praise from her fellow musicians, critics, and audiences for her warm and exciting style and has appeared in clubs and on television across the country. She owns a night club on Chicago's South Side, and her club is frequented by jazz stars on their visits to the city. Chicago remains her home base, and she lives there with her husband-manager, Greg Tischler, and her two children. Accompanying her on NET Jazz is the Vernel Fournier Trio. Songs on the program are "South Side of Chicago," "Beautiful Friendship," "Here's That Rainy Day," "Falling in Love with Love," "For Once in My Life," "Big Spender," "Guess Who I Saw Today," "Kiss Me," "Wild is Love," and "You're Gonna Hear from Me."
