- Episode Description
- Participants are Miss Sara Chatt, United Kingdom; Mr. Ameen Jan, Pakistan; Mr. Edward Dennis Normandy, III, Philippines; Mr. Padmanabh Gopinath, India; and Mrs. Waller. The first question Mrs. Waller poses is, "To what extent is prejudice against colonialism justified?" Ameen and Padmanabh believe it is entirely justified, but Sara asks, "What would India and Africa be like today if Britain had never been there?" The four different national viewpoints expressed on this program are enlightening. The young people then speak of their preconceived notions of America and how their visit here has changed them. Says Edward, "I had the wrong idea of American teenagers. I thought they were all hoodlums before I came here. Now I see how wrong that prejudice was."
