Series Description
This is a series produced for television by the University of California at Los Angeles under the title "Art 5A." It is a course in the appreciation of art, intended to lead toward greater understanding and enjoyment of objects of art. The episodes in the series cover analysis of painting, sculpture, architecture, ceramics and industrial design, and attempt to discover elements they have in common, attitudes looking at them and values inherent in them. Throughout the series of 26 fifteen-minute episodes the aim is to uncover something of the nature of art and clarify its importance to the average person.
