- The national television debut of the California Chamber Symphony under its founder and conductor, Henri Temianka, in the following program: Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 by Johann Sebastian Bach Concerto for Piccolo by Antonio Vivaldi, Soloist Tullio Serenade in A, Op. 16, by Johannes Brahms Henri Temianka is host for the episode, explaining the origins and intricacies of each work. Bachs Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 is performed in its original scoring for 3 violas, 3 cellos and harpsichord, rather than the version for larger string ensemble. CALIFORNIA CHAMBER SYMPHONY is a production of National Educational Television in association with KCET-TV, Los Angeles, CA. NET Producer: Tom Slevin. Director: Jim Case. The Orchestra will be conducted by its founder, Henri Temianka, in the following works: Brandenburg Concerto #6 Bach; Concerto in D for Two Violins Vivaldi; Serenade Op 16 Brahms.
