- Description
- Episode Description
- The Elfin is surprised to learn that the letter U not only represents a part of the alphabet, but also the shape of a faraway section of land where many, many years ago, people wrote on clay tablets with sticks, and lived in clay houses. Authentic cuneiform tablets are shown. (Description adapted from documents in the NET Microfiche)
- Series Description
- Mr. Murgles Musee is WKAR-TVs popular program for youngsters. Mr. Murgle is a puppet who explains some of the wonders of the world to a less sophisticated friend, Mr. Elfin. Through a special arrangement, Mr. Murgle has been able to obtain access to the Michigan State University museum and he often has objects of interest to children to demonstrate to Mr. Elfin. By means of a time spinner he is also able to take Mr. Elfin back through history to important events of the past. The series is produced by WKAR-TV program director, Ken Richards. The 26 fifteen minutes episodes that comprise the series as distributed by NET were originally recorded on videotape. (Description adapted from documents in the NET Microfiche)
