- CHER performs in front of the Queen for the first time in this Royal Variety Performance. VINNIE JONES and DENISE VAN OUTEN also join in for the annual showbiz spectacular in the presence of Her Majesty and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, KGKT. Multi-talented Cher will sing her latest single at the star-studded event, while her Hollywood neighbour Vinnie Jones and Denise Van Outen take part in a celebration of the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Former soccer hardman Vinnie, who has now turned his talents to the stage and screen after his fantastic success in Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, manages a unique verison of a number from the long-running musical Cats, while Denise matches her acclaimed performances in the West End production of Chicago. The legendary Sir Elton John, who has dominated the music world for more than three decades, tops the bill. Flying in specially from American is Jennifer Lopez, as well as the award-winning cast of the Broadway musical The Full Monty, who will be showing the Queen just what they're made of! The show also boasts pop sensation Craig David, Britain's `The Voice" Russell Watson making his Royal Variety Performance debut, and top chart act Hear'Say. On the comedy front, `Pub Landlord' Al Murray and the unique genius of Jackie Mason are set to delight the audience, along with the mimicry skills of Jon Culshaw, after his coup in getting through to Tony Blair by impersonating William Hague. Also taking part in the Andrew Lloyd Webber celebration are Donny Osmond, Samantha Mumba, Charlotte Church and Robert Meadmore, This Is My Moment winner Adam Watkiss and Italian tenor Alessandro Safina. Julian Clary takes centre stage in one of the most ambitious production numbers ever seen on any Royal Variety Performance. And fans of acrobatics will be doubly delighted by two of the show's other jewels: an awe-inspiring aerial performance by the world-famous Cirque du Soleil, and, from Russia, hand-balancing maestro Anatoliy Zalevskyy.
