- Description
- It's a sunny day in downtown Seattle. In a small park, 40 people suddenly start having a giant pillow fight. Twenty minutes later they all leave. It's called a flash mob. Bill Wasik started the idea as an experiment to see if chain emails and mob mentality could create a social movement with no inherent purpose. It was just the beginning of his exploration on today's hyper–connected, information–overloaded, and story–driven Internet culture. Bill Wasik's new book is "And Then There's This: How Stories Live and Die in Viral Culture." We'll find out what he's learned this hour on "Weekday."
