Description
Description
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke in Wausau on May 12, 1967 at the request of the Student Government at the University of Wisconsin Marathon Center. Because the campus theater was too small Dr. King spoke in the Marathon Park Youth Building. He was introduced by James W. Perry, student government president, who later became the campus dean at UW-Fox Valley (courtesy UW-Marathon County library).
