The college announced on Tuesday that it has hired Jane O'Meara Sanders - Bernie Sanders' wife - as its new leader. Burlington College is a small independent liberal arts college in Vermont's largest city. Jane Sanders graduated from Goddard College in Plainfield and has a doctorate from the Union Institute, which runs Vermont College in Montpelier. She has long worked for Bernie Sanders as his chief of staff, press secretary, and policy adviser. Jane Sanders says she'll no longer be actively involved in Bernie Sanders' re-election campaign.
