A speech by Dr. Benjamin P. Sachs before the Baton Rouge Rotary Club on June 2, 2010. Dr. Sachs is the Dean of the Tulane University School of Medicine. He discusses the need for health care reform and Tulane's partnership with the Baton Rouge General Medical Center in creating a new program called LEAD (Leadership, Education, Advocacy, Discovery) in order to train physicians with political or economic experience.

BENJAMIN SACHS speaks on HEALTHCARE and LOCAL CHALLANGES Internationally renowned for his work in improving patient care and reducing medical errors, Sachs' team at the BIDMC's Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology received the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Health Care Excellence Award in 2007 for exceptional achievement in improving the safety and effectiveness of health care.
