- This episode of the series "Louisiana Legends" from April 24, 2011, features an interview with Mignon Faget conducted by Beth Courtney. Faget, a native of New Orleans, is a world renowned jewelry designer. She discusses: working with the Historic New Orleans Collection to put together a retrospective exhibit about her work covering the past 40 years; growing up as a fifth generation New Orleanian; studying sculpture at Newcomb College; the influence of her trip to Paris and travels throughout Europe; designing clothes with her mother as a child; the elements of fashion design; how she began designing jewelry; the influences of nature and architecture in her jewelry designs; her "Iron Works" collection; the designs that have helped raise money for charity after Hurricane Katrina; the importance of preservation; designing pieces for Mardi Gras krewes; and her hopes for the future.

- The New Orleans native is a world-renowned fashion and jewelry designer. Since putting out her first ready to wear collection in the Crescent City in 1969, her unique vision of fashion has continued to evolve. She now concentrates her efforts on creating unique jewelry collections that are prized by collectors around the country.
