It's a big job. It shouldn't be a sales promotional job. It should be an informational job. The institutions, whether they be privately or publicly supported, belong to the people. They're there for the people. They are our investment for the future of the people. What greater reasons could be advanced then? For the development of greater confidence between the five components of the institution. And for development of a degree of informed participation, by which we may all move together for the achievement of these high ends. Ladies and gentlemen, you have heard from Dr. Arthur S. Adams, president of the American Council on Education, Washington, D.C., speaking to the 30th Annual Meeting of the Association
of Governing Boards, institutions, mating in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Adams spoke on the subject that proper relationships between governing boards and administrative officers of colleges and universities. This broadcast was one of a series, tape recorded by Radio Station K-O-A-C, the member station of the National Association of Educational Broadcasters. Listen again next week at this same time.
