Located in downtown Joplin, Memorial Hall was built in 1925 as a war veteran memorial to honor the men and women who gave their lives for arm freedoms. The facility has served as a main state to welcome home soldiers and still provide to gathering place for veterans' activities and meetings. In addition to concerts, plays, sporting events, and community programs, there will be an informational meeting held tomorrow at 5.30 p.m. to learn more about the National Register of Historical Places and the nomination process. The city recently completed a study of the hall with a focus on future uses. Matthew Pierce with Preservation and Design Studio LLC of Oklahoma City will provide the information and a question and answer session. The meeting will be held in the city council chambers located on the 5th floor of Joplin City Hall at 602 South Main Street. For KRPS, I'm Fred Fletcher-Fierro in Web City.
