The non-profit celebrating its 40th anniversary is known for chamber and classical music, but this Thursday will welcome back one of the best well-known jazz groups worldwide. The Brubuck Brothers Core Tent to Joplin. The Core Tent includes Chris and Dave Brubeck, sons of the noted jazz pianist and composer Dave Brubeck. The performance will take place as part of third Thursday in downtown Joplin at the corner of 6th and May near City Hall. The Core Tent is internationally recognized, having played throughout North America and Europe, including at the Newport, Detroit, Montreal, Hollywood, Bull, and Monterey Jazz Festivals. The performance marks the second time in four years, the group has performed in Joplin. The concert this Thursday starts at 6.30 pm and is open to the public with no reservations required. For KRPS, I'm Fred Fletcher-Fierro in Web City.
