Yeah, I've got a fender here ready, but I use that little machine right there right next to the coffee pot to tool it. So we're ready when you're ready. I'm going to begin this saddle here today by getting a few measurements on the horn. These I'll keep in and then also I want to check here on some rigging measurements, a few candle measurements. Now once I've got these measurements kind of in my mind, now I'll go to the workbench and cut some pieces of leather. So what we could do there is, let's just do that again, that was excellent and I'm going to begin this saddle today by taking a few measurements. They're kind of critical to my making this saddle correctly. I need
to measure this horn for size, I'm going to take a quick measurement here for my rigging and also I need to measure this candle. Now each saddle tree before I begin, I've written a serial number on the back of it, this will go in the file, this saddle tree and this whole saddle could be duplicated at any time by this customer's uncle or niece or nephew, someone else who may need, and desire to have this same saddle again way, it's all numbered and in the book. Now after getting those measurements
and getting these few pieces cut right, cut the fit, I'm going to continue here by fitting the skirt. And then the next piece here we'll need is the fender, I'm going to check it for size, make sure it fits okay and then we'll go and put the matching tooling on it. This is the saddle tree, the foundation and the
basic parts of the saddle, it has four main parts. First of all there's the fork or pommel, the candle, the bars that actually fit the horse and the saddle horn of course. Now what's critical on a tree is that this part be good and comfortable to a man and that this part under here fit properly fit a horse. If these don't fit a horse properly, it feels to a horse like you would feel if you took a hike today and boots it didn't fit, tomorrow you wouldn't get up, you sure wouldn't go for a walk and you'd sure resist anybody who tried to make you. Now I need to take a few measurements on this tree and then I'm going to go to the work bench and cut some parts to fit it. I
think I want to do the switch, oh do the switch okay. Now I've got a few of the main parts on this saddle, it's beginning to take shape. I'm going to add the skirt under here, check it for fit. Looks good. Now the fenders come next and there, as soon as I check it for fit here then we'll get okay, that looks good. About what you had in mind.
Yeah there's four parts to a saddle tree that are most important. First of all is the horn and it can be any height and any size diameter. It can also pitch forward or stand straight up. The next part here is this pommel or fork of the saddle and of course they come in all various shapes and sizes depending on what you're going to use them for. The next most important part would be the bars here and the bars I would like to point out how critical they are because the bars are made to fit the horse and if they don't fit the horse it would be just like you taking a hike in boots that didn't fit and tomorrow you certainly wouldn't walk and if you did walk you'd certainly resist anybody that made you. Now the other part is the candle here and the candle is made for your comfort. It varies in height, also varies in width and
some degree can vary in the cupping shape depending on what you're going to do and what you find comfortable. Then each tree at this point we marked right the serial number on it. The serial number going the books and each detail of this saddle tree is recorded so that down the road you might want another one or your grandkids might want one. The same number will go on the leather on the finish saddle but it's inside on the tree also. This is the saddle horn, critical to working off of. It comes in varying heights and also in varying diameters of the horn cap. They are extremely strong so with raw height to reinforce an already metal horn in there. The fork itself varies in width,
it varies in height and varies in shape depending on what type of riding you're doing. Great, that was wonderful. Or critical about the horse. In other words, they didn't really have to fit a rider. They was concerned so much about their horse but it's changed now. People are actually more concerned about themselves than they are their horse. I mean that's a sad fact. You can't be just pointed at where that serial number is. This serial number here is recorded on the file and on the tree. It's made for a man named Jim Pratt. He works in the movies in California. Okay. Any time. This is what you have. Scirt. Scirt. I'll get a brand of skirt. People think I chase
skirts but I don't. I just make them. Okay, I'm checking that for fit. And then I'm going to add a fender to it. Check everything for fit. You pull it back here. Okay, glints. And then I'll do a list of match. How do you attach all this? Well, let's get attached by a sturple other that actually hangs over the top of the bar and the tree. And the front end will all be fastened down with the saddle strings. And in saddle making everything is usually glued, sewed, and then either nailed or screwed to hold it together. No stupor, huh?
And then move it again. Yeah. That's not allowed. Yes. You're anрал, two -wheel - seventh. Yeah. Yeah, I did. to work area raw. The gamut can make you do that stuff right in the tube.
Tires lock in and then back around. I make you show it at the end of it. I make you show it at the end of it. I make you show it at the end of it.
I make you show it at the end of it. I make you show it at the end of it. I make you show it at the end of it.

Is this your daughter here
that's Queen Jolie's son? Yeah. Queen, huh? She was Queen in the film roundup. You know, you know. One of her daughter's sad when she wrote it. He's the last one you get. I'm sure you like guys, hi. I really want to be to ride. Ben didn't hold it. And now it's wet and cased. It'll be a guy. So if I was to, uh, play doesn't have to be to come. He's a lot of, right? I don't know. He needs you. He's got none. You seem to remember that we have seen as rains of the addon. Yeah. Well,
you can. Some of the Indian people like to still prefer that way. But anything is high in tannic acid. Brains are a great source of tannic acid. But so it's tree bark. Yeah. So I think it depends on what you'd rather work with. And also kind of what you're source of. Better, you don't need. How, uh. I will be going to the sewing machine here in this moment. Yeah. I'm actually more
concerned. I'm concerned about my fingers. Normal stuff like this. Yeah. See after a bit, Bill. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Okay. Better place for me to be. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. I don't know if you want me to talk or not. Okay. Okay.
Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
