That day, and I knew from having been a long time reader of the paper, how talented she was, her gift for storytelling and connecting with people, and I was excited to meet her because I thought this was somebody that I could probably really learn from. And I mean, sure enough, you know, I, as time went on, you know, I became a features writer as well, and she was very much a mentor to me over the years. And I think any, any success I had is a writer for the paper I can definitely attribute to her.
