Joplin COVID-19 Update

Early on in the pandemic, Joplin City officials held weekly briefings that were live stream on the city's Facebook page as a way to keep residents up today with the latest active case and fatality counts. Joplin and Ryan Stanley was asked Monday, what his determining factors were when voting in favor of the city moving in the stage three of the city's reopening and recovery plan last week. We hit a low point right before spring break, feeling like here comes spring break, who knows what's gonna happen with people traveling and really want to see the numbers and what they did. And we saw the numbers lift just a hair, but not anything of great significance. Joplin continues to be in the top three in the percentage of residents initiating their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine with nearly 40%. For KRPS, I'm Fred Fletcher-Fierro in Web City.
