Interview with Political candidate

Well, I took the mayor role in June, so I missed a lot of the early kind of the big question mark moments. And so by the time June came, we kind of knew where we were and we're watching the numbers build. And it's such an interesting challenge because with the tornado it was very clear. This debris has to get cleared. We need to get these people safe. We need to get a plan put together. Let's move forward. And it was very linear. And this is much more fluid where we feel like we think we're doing something that's working. Let's try this. Okay, that maybe that's not working as well. And so you live your life kind of as a Monday morning quarterback saying is this working or not? So it's been a challenge because I mean we all want to try to control the things we can control. And with this there's not been many things to control. I will tell you that I don't know. I mean I feel I tell people I would be more frustrated if I was in this role, twiddling my thumbs, wishing I could add value somewhere. And I feel kind of empowered and invigorated to have an opportunity to serve at this time, but certainly appreciate the scale and the challenge it is.
