Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I would just like to say on behalf of all of us Democratic Party side of this Congress, how grateful we are for the support that continues to support moral, spiritual, and sexual and financial.
And it's been given by so many people in this room. We hope that the 200 Congress, which will be responsibility of the Democratic Party leadership discussion, that's what the speaker intends and greater incentive and want to work together closely with our colleagues and the Senate leadership, and also with our Republican colleagues in the hope that we can and to try to do a great deal of glass to rule be not only the current Congress, but I believe we should be productive with that. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for the great, wonderful Senator Washington. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much.
Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Introduce you to the new majority whip of the House of Representatives.
The new majority whip is an unusual individual. I think all of you know he's had a very important day in his life. The reason he was such a success today in his victory is because of the kind of human being that he is. He is a friend of everyone in the room and a friend of thousands of people across the country. And even a significant way because he is a person who is in touch with himself. He's a person who works harder than any human being I've ever known. He is a person who is totally dedicated to his career.
And his work is to what he believes in. He's a person who cares for all of those reasons that I have thrilled to present to you. I do. You are the whip of the House of Representatives Tony. Tony! Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. I'm sorry that Tom Foley could not be with us at this particular time. He was here earlier and he left.
So it is my honor and my deep deep pleasure to introduce a personal friend of Phyllis and I, a gentleman who has had an outstanding as you reflect on this ten years from now. You reflect on the fact that Jim Wright has become the most powerful, the most able, the most dedicated speaker in the history of our country. I know that's going to happen. And so it's with a great deal of gratitude that I thank Jim Wright for nominating me six years ago, as chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. And I introduce him tonight as the speaker of the United States House of Representatives Jim Wright. Thank you.
That's right. Thank you. I wanted to bring Betty because you get two of us. And without her, I'm just half a man. As a matter of fact, I'm going to count on her particularly for these next 30 days. And all this leadership crowd, I'm the only guy without a job. Betty is the whip and the stalled, duly signed up. Tom is the majority leader. I'm just a nominee. But let me ask for your earnest help and maybe we'll make it together. Thank you. Back all those many, many years ago, when I used to be in the Army Air Corps, they had a number of acronyms in which we spoke for a shorthand.
Most people still remember the word snafu. Still normal, all fouled up. Some of you don't remember a happier one, which I think applies with a special, particular poignance today to the Democrats. And that was Kavu, ceiling and visibility unlimited. And that's how we are today. I want to thank all of you for the great things you have done to the party for your cooperation with Tony and his committee. I don't have a better apology for having been the one who inflicted Tony upon you. I willingly embrace that responsibility because I could tell he was as hyper as a hummingbird and that he arose each morning, salivating to go out and raise money.
And what a job he's done. What a job. Just stop and think of it. We're just halfway there, and we're going to make it still greater. With Tony's help, with Dick's help, Tom's help, with all of your help, all of us working together. There is, in the audience tonight, a group from Central America, 20 lawmakers from the countries of Central America. And I want us to pay special attention to them. They are our guests. They are making this thing we call democracy vibrant and thriving. Wain, Trabajo, Parasus, Manos. A dream for your mind and good work for your hands. You come in at the radio, Parasus, P.A.s. and a straight path for your feet. You love when they see you understand this, but it was steady, simply. But just to say to them, as we say to you tonight, along with our grateful thanks,
God's blessings to you always. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You were wonderful. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thanks. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
