The day to remember those who were lost will start with the 10th Joplin Memorial run. The half marathon and the 10k will start at 6.30am, while the 5k will start at 6.45. Following past years, there will be a gathering at Cunningham Park near the time of 5.41pm. Lin-Anne Stott, Joplin Public Information Officer, speaking at Monday City Council Meeting. Former Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has been asked to speak regarding the recovery with Joplin Mayor Ryan Stanley serving as the MC of the program. Joplin is holding a community event in Cunningham Park at 3pm Saturday, May 22nd, prior to the observance ceremony. RKRPS, I'm Fred Fletcher-Fierro, in Web City.
