It's. Not 6:30. Listen you can't rush the artist if you want great pictures was great. We won it by six five hours to do besides lay out. Ok ok you guys that finished things to do for your future editor this week. Right right. OK we're doing a two part story about the black kids from Hamilton who go to college. First we'll see how well the black seniors are doing good man to college. What do you say why do you have any We compared that to with what actually happened to the seniors who graduated last year whether they went to college or got a job kind of in this. Yeah but it might help somebody make their way into the research for the first part is already done. And Kimberly's finished the first article about the blacks to use this year. He needs a little more work but we got a time like wait a minute. What kind of work is it. You know not much you just need to go a little more into debt. That's far and away it is OK. But we need a little more information. You should talk to more to say you're still up. I don't have the time or inclination.
I'm necessary right now. You think it's so bad just don't use it. I'm not saying it's bad. Gallery This is Monday. It's Wednesday. All right I've got basically you your articles have been pretty good in terms of time too. OK OK. I think it's a good idea. Thank you. I I was not in your article with a little more work we kick out of the we can really make this a good feature. I wanna stop a little longer than you and I know what makes a great article OK. So you just take it away and let yourself or forget it but I have my own work to do so I do want to pass the debutantes meeting at cheerleading practice. It really could use more work. So I just hope you have something besides white space to run for your black church. Are you a little three page what a chimbley what we write her article. I can't really make one and you rewrite it because I have my own work to do. Well there's supposed to be a crisis every week in the newspaper.
Come on you'll think of something and remember pictures can take up a lot of space pictures. I took these pictures in Senegal last summer. He said they were watching their banks fantastic. Did you guys come to these gigs like Amy. That was in a little town in Senegal called Katherine. So the two of them adopted me. Well they didn't really adopt me it was just kind of a summer deal. Well anyway they showed me all around and took me into their house. One time we got drunk on Tom why. It's great looking. Yeah. That is all gold. It shows how much your husband loves or divide and how rich is to be able to afford. We're. Actually going to Africa by plane. Come on be serious.
I'm always there is somebody me. But seriously I was on a summer work project with Crossroads Africa. Hey you know that this will make a great feature article by South are you have to do is write up a little something on your experience. You know my genius to dot spillover into right. You don't have to write a novel just to look. Text and a few small captions to go along with each picture I don't know Valerie I'll come last gotta need you to do this for every play you want me to beg you yeah come all these three years Okay okay I'll do it. Yeah my my such a nice guy. How came gassed on this today. Somehow out right after school I start to get the front page pictures. What about later like after dinner. Yeah. Can you come over my house. Sure I'll be addressing me right. OK. Don't tell me that doing us a foreign story. Sorry I'm late.
Well we're so glad you're able to tell me there's more I'll use over choice how it would be nice if the whole family could sit down and eat together for a change. As I was saying this African article is going to be terrific. Sure I'm very Spears and you were last night. Yeah well that's because yesterday I thought I was going to be a total flop my first time in a Senator but this African article is going to be so good. Well what do you expect if you were writing it now. Me Daddy. A friend of mine. All of these come not here tonight around 7. So we should work on it. Oh yeah they are very fortunate for him today which I hear Brown was no hero John Mark Kimberly said of her you know her like if you had to pick a fight with somebody want to be miss it when she's there Martin you have any friends and family. What she's thinking about. Well they tell me that our game of they are here is going to run a Tarzan story for the black. She taught us all that's the law. It's on Senegal. Kimberly is
just mad because I wouldn't let her article she was supposed to write an in-depth article. But she went and got some society page stuff about her France and didn't want to change it. That meant I had to come up with a new idea for the front page. And anyhow I heard I don't believe this. Why does how does it even need a newspaper if the grapevine works this way oh I don't know but I do know you make a we can really use to pattern to make enemies with just don't let it get to you. Damn what's wrong with making friends with you because when you make friends with a person this kind of situation you always do it on their terms. Why can't you make friends with Valerie. All right somebody has got to take the first step. If this girl is as popular as here is maybe she won't feel she asked Well I don't care how she feels. Never you have because you have to care about how people feel. Then you mean to tell me that you want Valerie to write a lousy article just to get on the good side of this gossip monger are you serious.
A neighbor one article from Google later. I'm not going to print a bunch of Trast now when I know it can be better. That's right I mean you got to have pride in what you're doing. Why are you doing it. I'm not saying try all I'm saying is fine never better way to deal with this. Him earlier. Whatever it is. But she has her tail up on our shoulders. I have to take that in if she can't talk to me civilized to forget her. That's right. Or anybody else. You don't have to kiss anybody's but to get them to like you very well know Kim is gonna slow but they can get you what you know they are. If you know a friend who was sold isn't always the best approach. Sometimes you have to use a little diplomacy. I used to live also use a little more. I'm sure there's a way you could have found it talk to or even got married a rewrite or article about all this rigamarole.
No wait a minute she doesn't have to tiptoe around this girl. Trying get my scene I see her and to doing something that she should be ready to do anyway. I mean you would think you would think that she would want the best article printed too and all I'm saying is you can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar. Oh yeah we discussed philosophy all you want but I devour that Tarzan article. You'll get a lot of static Valerie. You do what you want to do. But let me give a little thought was stopped on the way here tonight to talk about the Senegal stuff and if it's not there then I have to use Kimberly's article. And we get caught. What do you. Mean. The governor also has some other news in the budget he wants to spend the money to regulate. He is putting in a large chunk of money to quadruple spending on mass transportation especially in Southern
California is increasing. Right. Mr. Wilson. Going to some point. Well actually I came over to see Valerie. Oh Klaver. We're working on the super article together. Well come on in. Now you take that as an everything I had to I was a guest of honor so I took it put in my mouth and just swallowed it didn't even touch my teeth didn't have just one hard bone. You're supposed to suck the meat out. I know I told him next time I do it right. Did you know the next time I went I took a friend so he'd be the guest of honor. Why did these boats always brightly painted and their names are good luck slogans like these which means God protect this. Boats are a big deal in Senegal. As a matter of fact Senegal
means our boat. Good Dan good to see this one. You talk and I really am not there. Oh you can have it now I can make another point for myself thank you. Yeah she was an avid little lady she was special. You probably grew up to be just like you. Nothing. I know this is going to be a dynamite article. Yeah yeah I hope so. Well I'm leaving work tomorrow. I wanted to. OK.
Thank. You. Mrs. Wilson. Yes. See you tomorrow. Thanks. I just you know what. Oh I'm going to be dynamite. What. Do you think. What's wrong with me. How do you.
Start. OK OK hold your horses. The second this hour. Oh and you should. After all. That. Is something that you know we feel and fortunately she's been schooled about what's wrong with our pain. That's not the point the point is she's got everybody. Just that you wanted to write an article about how blacks don't have a future. That's ridiculous. Since you when you know you went out to drive an article about missionaries in Africa and the clincher is that you really got. And the judge is trying to use this to get next to him. And you don't think. I you play and I'm not even playing. I think you want to do it. Have you ever tried to talk to can really
be heard. I don't think so. Joe did not want to give any play to anybody here just like that. Just like. I know I had your interview with. People who were doing and. Did. I mean if you don't like what I wrote she could have come to me and said why did. She want to show up for like. This one time. We don't get why people don't keep. The double. What it is now why don't we straighten this out when
I have the time. Oh really. Why. Well I don't know but there seems to be a misunderstanding here and I just want to clear this misunderstanding. It's to. Stay out of it just the way there's no need for all of this was about the big just actually about what. You do have your white boyfriend ride the black teachers section. You know he's not looking for you all over. I was thinking about what we did last night. Now let me. Say thank you. What are you least alright. Just leave me alone. Ok
ok I'm sorry what did I do. You didn't do anything. Why you gotta be bad. I gotta get outta here. You mean she called you Oreo like a cookie. You know like. The workers. On the outside and white on the inside. Just my stuff. Don't worry it's not just her. She's got her friends the same thing she said I'm using your article because you're my boyfriend. Oh oh wow. Damn belly on sorry I didn't do anything. No I don't want her using me to ruin your reputation with the other black kids. But. Oh never mind what. Things are going to be happening I mean why should we the brackets care that much about what you do. Because I just do it self-defense. How so. Because it's rougher for us. So we have to stick together. And that's why we eat
together and together. My father says black should be responsible to each other. He calls it accountability. Yeah I guess I can understand that and that's OK. It's just you know you know sometimes you can be yourself or worrying about being black. It's a funny world a bit of which you guys you'll be careful your friends are not. They finally say we were gay. Come on Valerie Don't be so pessimistic. When I want everybody to think I'm with the children my boyfriend. That either. One of these. That they serious I'm serious. Listen remember. The picture the little. Girl and I told you she was cute. Yeah. Well I was really talking about you know what it was. What do you think and then I'm glad you like me.
And if I do will probably be you. But. That's not something I want to do. Yeah you sure do. Corney like. We are still friends. I guess. This is like a commercial for brother. You know we're. Really. That. Way. Mind you she didn't go to art classes.
I hope she's not too upset but hope for something else. Valerie she does her emotions get the best airs. Kevin you would have been so mad. I probably would have been mad. But I want to play in the Caymans hands like runaway was the worst thing she could do. Yeah I guess you're right. You know this would be funny if it wasn't happening to Valerie and you know it is happening. All this trouble over a white boy. This is hello. Oh come on give the girl a break I'm sure she didn't set out to see how much trouble she can get into. And how was she supposed to know all this was going to happen. Oh come on nobody is that ignorant you catching us there just from hanging out with white people long gone with money. She's not gone with them like as far as their bios is concerned. Here's one for you now. They already had a little lamb who's fleece was white as snow and everywhere that bell we went the lamb was sure to go. Follow her to school when it isn't funny if you had seen that we's face she wouldn't be making these jokes were you VERY get used to it.
So it Valerie. Because if I'm a brother and I'm tripping like this you know how bad the other black is going to be on a case. But it's also still premise based on a bunch of lines. It doesn't matter you could twist families arm and make her tell the truth and it still wouldn't matter. The damage is already done. But the thought of Kimberly sitting someplace and glowing and grain and Karen are just makes me want to jump up and be well. Valerie got her own cell phones it is a mess. If you have your own cell phone. I like that one. I hope we don't get jealous today. Now all you have to do the least three times besides you need some cheering up. We have roller skating and internet is not what. You want to bet either more time falling. Yeah yeah grace and style. Hi how. Are you going here. OK I'll see you tomorrow. Yeah see schools you guys
later. All right. Is that your new boyfriend. No a friend who happens to be a mighty chummy to me. Way. You know so what. Someone I fancy not you till you just can't be too chummy with a white boy. You just don't look right. I don't know where you want to worry about looks last week when you were lying you were trying to talk to those two white cheerleaders. Why. Yeah. When we were just different. The only difference is that nobody was minding your business you. Damn straight you can say nothing and nobody cared. Well I think you're going to valley. Why does anybody have to say anything. About it. Scott one of the few people who's been on my
side since this mess has began. He's afraid. Well that's fun. Do you realize what this me what more can happen. The rumors are already spread all over school and my reputation is shot at least I have one for it. Come on you know you have some friends and you got your revs ousted by you even if it was look I hear you. I believe you. Well Kevin and I can see that you two like each other even if you don't want to admit it. Say we were free and here we're not everybody is going to believe that you're just friends no matter what you say. I don't care about ACA. Good. If they want to believe a bunch of lies to tell the truth then that's their problem not my. You're absolutely right. And I'm going to keep working on the paper trail. And write the articles I want to write C and my friends. And if the other black kids can't relate to that just forget I'm. Going to do something.
If you don't care what anybody says Wouldn't you be going out with Scott Lebia. Oh no I barely know I am this Sally's friend saying. No no. No. Situation. Is just a super paper. Everything turned out great. You know it's fantastic to put something in the files it's good for a change. This is gonna be the story. This is pretty good. I used to think highly of your dress across Africa. I'm a writer then. Maybe I can go next year. Can you save the one hour.
Because I want to go to Africa next you'll be calling me an Oreo if that's the way that could not get off. Loved it. Why can't you just admit you can't talk about anything else. Why don't. These reside in my article. It's about time. And I want to make sure you get around the school. Thank you. That's right. I gotta tell you something Valerie. It turned out really great. The other janitors. OK take it easy. Thank you. Then I want to talk to. Them and say thank you.
Then you can this. Day and then now you listen. You've been on my case. Good reason. And I want you. Now I'm. Not telling you to. I'm sick of you. I'm not. Did. You talk. What have you done. Black people. You don't care about anybody but yourself. And you lied and hurt my feelings. Just because I didn't like what you wrote. The African article is good. But the ones we planned would have been better. It might help somebody get into college. But. You had to go and get mail and just did it. How are you guys. I thought you might need some morals and I think your reputation is saved. We're now beginning to worry.
