the electorate we're making common in paint the boat and make but i have become an option the big rate of the well the book blocked on a plan i be an american it began when they take advantage of it and an attic and i think an important group of the young guy who was in and other people would pick it up early indicator of the nineteen hundred five of movie in the country the kind of ideas foreign language that a hint of the photo he bought the obama had been leaning and a hit made and they're being a bit of having a government however when it came to finding an american company by a foreign language for the
occasion and the native american and the backup violin be plenty of opinion the american intellectuals followed komatsu teaching a lot of the people which would eventually lead to the end of our class distinctions the evolution of any of the ninety three congress to russian social democrat party of the working class and i like walk into a united latin band luckily the dictatorship that the minority party in the audience that people think that it's a complement to the

we think that maybe maybe demand a constitutional provision abolishing the united states abroad i really was being the executive to beauty i wanted to be on it the lack of them on the synthetic thinking of view of the boardwalk that the big break during the great depression something you play not all of them that they weren't motivated upon a novel and beckett of a number of big money but i bought on a number of them on the bank to create confusion and jonathan demme and
eight however the most important of the most deadly during an invasion or becoming a movement in the middle of the convention coming uphill from attica any big complicated the obliteration of a legal and illegal pot legal bought one before but it may take it and they go there or boarding group and the diplomatic id but while watching the typical battery the back of the american economy they had a lot of ai and we're going to go in a poll that the medical corp what they'd done by
cannot be activated by the becoming the nation the recommendations from multiple that incorporated all of that they invented the notion of the convention bubble that the chairman of the program comedic how the revolutionary then there's a communist party an enemy legal and the idea of the law made by the capital of a family and a couple of law a legal political climate in the complete control of the communist party that might be liquidated it would not thank you
republicans i mean people didn't feel it a former member of the party bill becoming the audio from an eleven member of the executive committee of becoming an international and that one effect of becoming a government but that detail obviously you a co chairman of the company that they can't prevent a document that he evidently that going to work how can i forget feely approach than conventionally beautiful realistically and dramatically portray here today at the richmond convention the warring factions in the communist party were united in to wong communist party dominated by mr cao at that
time the communist actions can set that all going to want to carry on illegal activities maybe on the other who've been fired more empathy is on legal activity the communist international united or action into one pot and are involved in the communist party greets you at the united states and now we continue on that and you became a political ploy oh the communist party of the united states not only you wouldn't have a plain directive that were given to the communist party have written by becoming an international public have greatly improved on

think that stalin continued by privatizing an eminent revolution in the united states the american communist party update the communist party following stalin's recommendation jane loves the then general secretary of the american communist party was removed from leadership love stone was replaced by max but dr william lee their wives followed by both welter follow the authority of american communism one security in the united states
the economic growth and with that line about the traditional american three of the people on board to get away ms baker regulators good morning and this time of white unemployment and economic misery the communist party of america rapidly increased its membership to almost one hundred thousand initially particularly in colleges and universities
in the nba and magic and comedy began to quarrel while remaining don't recommend that people are becoming picnic of being in control of it as it prevented patients network provided colleges and beauty of innovation on behalf of it that their own coming into turkey they thought quote unquote and the patient involved many honors include a magic thing that i called up bad labor practices david and i and the ability to be the beginning of that the organization of the day walk but actually cutting the coming the coming in they can quietly but it looked at me and he thought that they have they get involved because it and i would've thought that
it was that bad prominently that he be that unintentionally brought the goal of coming in the nomadic the book in the soviet union but the hurricane given the libyan american common i want everybody out that demand will be coming out and the company they suddenly became a hit and why on the end of a guy brought in that will get involved you're it and he hadn't been a completely but think that world than in nineteen thirty nine it began burying the dead body of becoming a tale of the oily poll in august nineteen thirty nine they've been none of
that night and coming up the hate it gave you write then that would be a new guinea i know that but they don't think that the thing about an event that i mean the nba the parliament about a bad about my mom we in the american communist party just to go to the new soviet policy founded a new organization the american people are not coming on june twenty nineteen forty one the soviet union overnight the american communist again completely reversed their attitude and they became sort of an advocate for the immediate entry into the harbor was welcomed by
them and they want the soviet union member of the ally american company picnic at a kind of a nineteen forty eight you're needed on the economy and the american family but we came to the main event founding coming i mean relations between the russian leadership and the brother was replaced about a million people to the communist association changed
the communist party of america and became again the mid american the reality either probably or by american party membership card payments they hadn't been going well with innovative the american party the event and you've got the membership in the company global shipping out of a economy i barely get by but it would make a great day event that got it important when the baby woke up in that they have to keep in mind that that
implies that the big three and they don't have any kind of activity but do not be permanently and that then you don't think in the private property but me take on data and more important meaning in the data were between freedom and common oh yeah we can

- Episode Description
- This episode traces the history of the Communist Party in the United States. The dramatic sequences feature a re-enactment of the Bridgeman Convention in 1921 and show how the Communist Party of the United States was controlled by the Communist International, and directed by it. Benjamin Gitlow, former General Secretary of the Communist Party of America and American representative to the Comintern in the 1920's, is a special guest on the episode. Mr. Gitlow was twice candidate for Vice President of the USA on the Communist Party ticket. Mr. Gitlow was expelled from the Communist Party of America in 1929, as a result of his refusal to accept a directive ordering him to yield leadership of the Party. - Series Description
- Thirteen half-hour episodes from KQED in San Francisco describe the history of Communism, from Marx to Khrushchev, and explore some of the major fallacies in this system of thought. Each episode contains commentary by noted historians and scholars, film clips of some of the historical events described, and re-enactments of other important episodes in the rise of Communism. Based on documents in the Hoover Institution of War, Revolution and Peace at Stanford University, the dramatic scenes are all adapted from the speeches and writings of the significant figures of the period Marx, Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin and many others. The settings, costumes and makeup for the actors were carefully designed to reproduce with the utmost fidelity the figures and locations of the scenes they recreate, and were based on contemporary photographs and portraits in the archives of the Hoover Institution. The authors of these episodes are: EG Valens, Mel Sharpe, and Richard Moore. The producer is Gerald Marans, and the historical consultant is Witold Sworkowski. Witold Sworkowksi, host and chief commentator for the series, is the Assistant Director of the Hoover Institution of War, Revolution and Peace, and also was the historical consultant for these episodes. A member of the pre-World War II Polish consular service, Mr. Sworkowski has been associated with the Institution for many years. He is a historian and authority on Russia, Communism and Slavic languages. The Hoover Institution of War, Revolution and Peace was founded by President Hoover in 1919 with the purpose of fostering greater understanding of the Twentieth Century. It now includes a remarkable collection of documents, state papers, articles and the like, bearing on the history of the First World War and world developments subsequent to that. It is located in Palo Alto, California, at Stanford University. The 13 episodes comprising this series were originally recorded on kinescope.
