- The episode begins with CDC funding issues, a segment about funding issues surrounding the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Latino/Latina Lesbian and Gay Organization (LLEGO), Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC) and the STOP AIDS Project, and an audit that occurred due to STOP AIDS' edgy approach to HIV prevention. In the Jinks and Cohen segment, Hollywood producers Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen discuss what it's like to be out in Hollywood and winning the Oscar. The Lisa Moore segment spotlights the African-American lesbian who created Redbone Press to promote literature for black lesbians. The Real to reel: 90 miles segment is about Juan Carlos Zaldi_var's film about the journey from Cuba to Mexico in 1980 during the Mariel Boatlift and the effects of assimilating his family into a new culture. Billie is a profile on the legacy of Billie Jean King, her influence on women's tennis, and the effects of her being outed by an ex-lover early on in her retirement. The Out takes segment with Harvey Fierstein is titled Negative role models. PSAs include Andre_ De Shields on Bayard Rustin and Paris Barclay talking about Project Angel Food.
